It's very faintly played in the background when Julia Roberts is about to meet Richard Gere for the 1st time. You really need to listen hard, but it's there xxxx
Interesting add. Big RP fan and first time I've caight this track. Check out the guest vocal appearance on The Comsat Angels song 'You'll never know' off the Chasing Shadows cd. (1986)
I should upload a video I made that synced the first half of this song with the intro to Sonic CD. It's actually quite cool and some of RP's lyrics fit the animation well.
Yes do it. I'd love to see it. Till this day I have dressed like Robert Palmer and had several suites made. Cost alot but worth it, so let see what ya got
OK, another question. I`ve seen "Pretty Woman" probably a hundred times, but I`ve never actually heard this song in it. Which part of the movie does it play at? :)
you know i've never seen pretty woman so i couldn't tell you lol. Maybe this song is just on the album and not in the movie... or maybe it's part of a deleted scene. Alas i have no clue :(
this was playing in the background when richard gere picked up julia roberts the first time in his friend's lotus. right before she showed him how to drive it...
@Lolita1982 I read somewhere that a few-second snippet of this song is playing on Gere's car radio as he arrives somewhere. Let us know if that helps...I'm curious!
It plays at the beginning of the movie, when Vivian (Julia Robert's character) is talking to her prostitute friend/roomate and another hooker. The scene in question takes place on the Hollywood Walk of Fame where the two of them are waiting for "business."
You only get to hear it briefly, though, so keep your ears in focus for this one.
Wow, hi 2010! If you haven't thought about it or found out already, I believe this song was in a scene in the Blue Banana near the beginning of the movie. Purely background, so it's no wonder you don't remember. I only know cuz when I was 11 I listened to this soundtrack all. the. time.
@Lolita1982 I know it's a bit late (by two years ha) but this song is played at the bit where Viv and Kit are talking outside the shop just before Richard Gere pulls up in the Lotus :)
I don't think there is a video for this song, it was just made for the pretty woman soundtrack i believe. They should make a music video for this song though, it just sounds like it deserves one : ) feel free to check out my other songs and peace bro : )
God I miss him.

An old friend of mine was a die-hard Robert Palmer fan and he'd agree with the caption below the screen. He might have seen this already.

I absolutely love this song, how this did not make the top spot back in the day is unreal. Classic Robert Palmer!

Robert in this picture looks very much like Canadian actor Michael J Fox.

My best buddy from high school was a huge fan of the late Robert Palmer. He even followed The Power Station. He even said Palmer kicked major ass!

@arcvampiro I believe it's just a small part where Julia is walking down a street. The song, as awesome as it is, only last a few seconds.
By the way, thanks sooo much for posting this song! It's amazing!
RIP Robert, we miss you!

It plays when Richard Gere is cruising aroung in the grey sports care looking for directions. Movie plays the song for maybe 4, 5 seconds.

I see this song made it all the way to #7 on the mainstream US rock chart. Shame it NEVER gets radio play today.

I heard it today in the cinema before the adverts came on (I went to watch Milk).
I love this song! It actually sounds better than Addicted To Love.
Was there a music video for this?
