I think Britain and France cornered Germany too much. Hitler should have at least tried to negotiate for amendments of the Versaille Treaty.

The First World War was primarily Britain's attempt to keep Germany in check, and to weaken France at the same time. But Britain too ended up bleeding far much and helped America to enrich herself.

The people of Germany was desperate for some hope, like a man drowning about to grab a piece of straw, as we say in Japan. The piece of straw was Hitler.
