  • Awhhh the cats are so cute =^w^= <3

  • I remember going to see this show a couple times when I was younger in Las Vegas.. good memories :)

  • so...artists, musicians, actors, ect are being abused since they work to make people happy in order to survive? " but they have the choice as human beings to take that line of work, unlike animals who don't have that choice!"

These are cats, you cannot force a cat to do tricks if it doesn't want to. Go look up videos of how MOST cats act when you try and take them out on a leash. If these cats did not want to do this, or were afraid of what would happen if they did not... they would just run off

  • i am training my 2 cats to do stuff like this

  • @rokedetbamidar

Let me educate you. In order to train a domesticated animal pet you must show your pet that they will be rewarded if they correctly do it. For example a dog treat or cat nip. Let me ask you something: If I told you to jump around in circles for 20 dollars would you? Yes, you would. Is it human abuse? No. Because YOU want to do it for the reward. Same thing with animals. Trust me no cat will do tricks for you if they don't want to, thus the cat WANTS to, thus not abuse. Bye.

  • @Bloodjoe30 I see - so rewarding a living being for doing something that is entirely against their nature, just to amuse you, is ok.

I guess next thing you'll say is that the cats are fed and kept alive so that's a huge bonus.

I don't agree with you and your logic is wrong, in my opinion.

Animal abuse can be on many levels.

The point is - we have no right to force any living being against it's will, and rewarding a performing animal with food is a poor example of being kind.

  • That a amazing :D

  • AMAZING!

  • I don't think the cats are abused. In fact they seem to trust the guy. But i do think that guy has no life.....

  • OMFG!!

those cats have been REALLY well-trained !

    and they're SOOO ADORABLEEEEE !!!!!

  • my cat can make crystal meth

  • i want a cat now

  • @cbenware10 Chill out buddy. No one here asked you to read anything. If long comments bother you, you are free to skip them.

  • Czego ludze nie zrobia dla pieniedzy! Koty lubia sie pobawic ale to meczenie zwierzat jest obrzydliwe !!!Nienawidze cyrkow w ktorych meczy sie biedne zwierzeta\

  • @rokedetbamidbar Thank you, and ditto! I am glad you care so deeply about animals. I do think society is slowly becoming more aware of animal cruelty. For example, when I was a kid every circus had live exotic animals. Now, I think it's only Ringling Brothers. That's at least some noticeable progress in the last 15 - 20 years.

  • @rokedetbamidbar Honestly, you're preaching to the wrong person. Of course I know what happens to these animals when they get too old to perform and, yes, it's an ugly thing. But, the same thing may have happened to them 5 years earlier without the cat circus. It's sad, but true.

  • @rokedetbamidbar Fair enough. I'm glad you support animal rights. But, as the saying goes, I think it's important to choose your battles. To me, "Circus cats" are the least worrisome of all the trained animals out there. When you compare their lives to the horrendous lives of say, trained elephants or lions... Well, this is nothing.

  • @SugarCookietarian I guess you're right. It just makes me sick to see this here on You Tube as entertainment, posted by a channel that calls itself "just for laughs".

Anyway, I am glad to have talked with you here, as you seem to be a kind and intelligent person.

  • @rokedetbamidbar I recently tried to find a home for a beautiful adult Tabby cat who needed a new place to live. There's nothing wrong with him, and he is a very handsome animal. But, none of the no kill shelters in the city would take him because he's "too old". I'm just saying, the reality is that these cats could be in a much worse situation than this.

  • @SugarCookietarian Yes of course, they could be out on the street, homeless, hungry and sick. I understand your point, but this kind of thing only gives justification for forcing animals to do things against their will. They have no say in this at all, but as an animal lover, luckily I do. Ignorant people watch this and think it's ok, but the truth is, these cats live miserable lives, taken when only kittens and forced to perform until they can't anymore. They are depressed and unhappy.

  • @rokedetbamidbar From my own personal experience of dealing with abused cats, I truly do not believe that a cat who is being grossly mistreated would perform this way. Like I said, I agree that training animals for show is a questionable practice. But, how many cats are euthanized in shelters on a daily basis? At least these cats are alive and appear to be healthy.

  • @SugarCookietarian Of course they're healthy - these people need them to make money. Animals are not here for our amusement - they are living creatures who deserve love and respect. This video promotes using animals as things for humans to use as they choose. What do you think they do to them once they cannot perform anymore? Take one guess.

  • This video has been reported for promoting animal abuse.

  • @rokedetbamidbar,you want to know what animal abuse is? Volunteer at an animal shelter in a low income neighborhood, or at any shelter. I've heard stories of cats having their eyes poked out and people tying firecrackers to dogs tails, where the dogs backsides get so damaged that they have to be put to sleep. A cat jumping through a hoop or performing for a few seconds or even minutes in a family run circus, that has to comply with ASPCA rules for humane treatment of their animals is NOT ABUSE!!

  • @rokedetbamidbar I agree that training animals solely for human amusement is a questionable practice. But, I enjoyed the video and I truly do not believe these cats are abused.

  • @SugarCookietarian No one questions your love of your cats. Did you know that in between acts they are kept in tiny little cages in dark storerooms or in a truck, and if they don't perform willingly they bring in a replacement cat and force the cat to perform? So how can someone who loves his or her cats so much find this amusing???

  • @rokedetbamidbar As I said in my previous comments, I have two cats at home. Both are rescues, and both are loved very much. Please do not question my love for my pets. I've spent more money on medical care for them than on myself in the past three years, and would do anything for them. But, I stand by my original comment.

  • My cat barks like a dog...

  • My cat can do that :PPP

  • are they really cats???

  • I thought there would be the Spurs coach

  • my cat can eat its own poop

  • AMAZING SHIT!! WISH I COULD TRAIN MY KIDS!!! TEO WOULD B TOO CLUMSY & HARU WOULD B TOO SHY

  • how the hell do u train a cat

  • @haris1254 same way as a dog you just have to be more patiant... or meaner

  • @ht448 Naw... never meaner. Patience is always the proper virtue to win the best results from any animal :o)

  • Ninja Cats

  • Wow....that's funny, amazing too. I don't think I could train my cats to do that!

  • hey, my last name is popovich!

  • fantastic , I love it

  • i heard this guy trains these animals himself! I'd pay good money 2 go 2 that show!!!

  • hmm maybe just maybe my two chipoos and 1 kitten can for a circus act!

  • @PonyGal125

    He probably kept them hungry.

  • @vslsubspam jerk

  • Wow

  • I wonder how many times he had to rape those cats to get them to obey.

  • This is one animal act I DON'T mind!

  • I just saw this Live today in our hometown!!! This Guy is far far far wayyyyyyy amazing!!!!!!!!

  • That is SO COOL!!! I wish my cat did half of that XD But I guess her being cute is good enough (:

  • These cats are smarter than ALL 5 year olds!

  • Great show!!

  • Just bought tickets to his show. Can't wait.

  • @UpNFlames71 i bout them and got to go see it at the commuinity arts center! AMAZING!

  • Feline circus stars! Brilliant video!

  • 0:48 MONORAIL KITTEH!

  • Wow, that's pretty impressive. Dogs are relatively easy to train, but cats?

  • this is cool!

  • I saw this show in Vegas. At the end of the live show, Popovich tells the audience that ALL of his dogs and cats (well over a dozen) are from animal rescue and humane society. He said that the first step in training cats is to see what they like to do. Some climb, some jump, etc. Then you use LOTS of repitition to get them to do that "fun" activity. Takes a long time...

  • ok does he love his cats or is he using them and doesn't care???

  • @kpgcatlover

my guess would be he doesn't care

  • @kpgcatlover Ultimately you must to which opinion you'll think.

& remember that that says more about you, not him. If this is a living for him, it would not be conducive to his success to be cruel to these animals, as abused cats won't let anyone near them, let alone train them. As an animal lover myself, I'm extremely careful about which animal acts I'll regard as ethical for them. This one looks fine.

Ultimately, it comes down to trust: Us choosing to trust him, & his pets trusting him too.

  • @Ignauhak I have to disagree with you. I know about these cat circus acts, and have seen myself how the cats are kept in small cages in between performing for people like you who seem to find it ok and amusing too. Well it's not - the cats are taken when very young and then trained for hours and hours. Yes of course these people need them for a living so they don't beat them or starve them, but forcing animals to perform for humans is cruelty too.

  • my favorite part is between 0:00 to 2:15

  • Anyone who says these cats are abused has obviously never rescued a truly abused cat. Cats are not stupid, nor can they be trained by fear. When a cat has actually been abused, it will not let humans near it and will lash out if approached incorrectly. These cats would run immediately if they were truly afraid. I have two rescue cats right now. I've had one for two years, and he STILL runs sometimes when I try to pet him.

  • @SugarCookietarian You are absolutely right. They are all from animal shelter. Just amazing!

  • @SugarCookietarian So it's supposed to be ok to train animals to perform, just for your amusement? If you think that animals perform willingly and that these cats are happy, then you don't know anything about animals at all. These cats don't know any other reality, and their lives, in between amusing stupid people who think animals are here to entertain them, is not good at all. It is cruelty. And I have three cats whom I love very much, and do not regard them as playthings. You are so wrong.

  • yay cats :D

  • It's like a "Cirque du Chat" (circus of cats)

  • Popovich is an awesome pet trainer. He better than Zack george

  • i met the orange cat at a bar once, he was a total dick.

  • Gregory is cool I saw him at a sow in real life. His talents are amazing. My friend and I even met him after the show. (He speaks Russian like my friend and my parents. I can't quuuiiite speak Russian, but I'm learning.)

  • BEST VIDEO EVAR!!!

  • Fantastic!

  • Saw the Popovich Comedy Pet Theater in Eugene, OR at the Hult Center last Sunday. It was phenomenal! Just the right amount of animal tricks, juggling and physical comedy from Popovich. It was a great family performance. My husband and I really enjoyed the show. And our 3 1/2yr old daughter was amazed and joyous watching all the action! And his dvds for sale are great too. Fun skits on the dvds and behind the scenes info. Thank you Mr. Popovich!

  • i jest saw him at the hault senter in eugene he was so cool i donated a crap load of money to help him buy more pets

  • saw this in las vegas

  • Wonder how many cat treats e used to get them like that? I need to learn his secret my cat keeps clawing the coach when I got him a good scratching post.

  • @FreeSailer35 Popovich recently wrote a book ("You can train your cat") and in it he says that he doesn't use cat treats to train them, he just uses petting and praise. I got the book from a library and read it. It was pretty good. He addresses the scratching on furniture issue. You might want to check it out.

  • omg that so cute :D awesome!!!

  • lol... cheesing....

  • Damn, I'm lucky to get my cat to walk on a leash.

  • notice they've all got their ears back

  • i no!

    doesnt that meen there scared?

  • it could mean a lot of things....cats put their ears back when they are playing to prevent damage, that could be what they are doing here. another reason they put their ears back is because they are pissed

  • aww thats way to adorableee! =D

  • i saw this guy's show in florida, he was good. he sells dvds on how to train your cat, but my cat is the laziest and she wouldn't do shit.

  • my cat knows how to open doors ^^

  • So does mine, but he his paws are really puffed up.. so he cant..

  • From 1:33 to 1:41 made me die XD

  • lol

  • Most cats can do tricks if given proper motivation and a trick that fits them. All the cats I've owned have learned sit and shake hands. My current one know roll over and stay (though she knows the command she doesn't always mind it). Our cat won't do the tricks unless she knows you have food to reward her. These cats must have very good temperaments.

  • my cat knows how to open a fridge

  • thats all it will ever need to know XD

  • wow lol

  • Thats definitey 5star material...I mean I've had cats before and they really never gave a dam about anything other than eating and sleeping. He ACTUALLY TRAINS CATS..that must be very difficult....

  • I didn't know cats could learn tricks....

  • That was brilliant xD They are so well trained, and adorable x3

  • Poor Kitties!

  • 0:48 NINJA CAT!

  • I love it when the dog comes out and everyone stops clapping lol.

  • Wow, I don't think I've ever seen a trained cat.

This man is amazing. He has his cats jumping through rings, upside-down pole walking, hurtles, and even taught his cats how to horseback ride on something....yet I struggle with barely getting my cat to respond to his name.

    Again...this man is amazing lol

  • i love my cat. she knows how to knock on the door to be let in and out now. =D

  • NICE!!!!!

  • I FUCKING LOVE CATS!

  • wow great

  • amazing

  • lol our cat has my mom trained like that. the fatso and 24/7/ 365 hungry cat has my mom put food out for him at 5 a.m. he wakes her up and she takes food out of the fridge to give it to him. he also knows when he's running around the house chasing my sister that when my mom calls out his name "meow" loudly, he's to stop and not jump on the top of the tv else he'll break stuff on it. he stops, ears back, tail twitching and changes direction to chase my sister out on the balcony.

  • Never expected that, all the pet tricks video are dogs except this one! BRILLIANT!

  • It doesn't matter. He's awesome! And a genius!

He was in my cat magazine, and at least these cats were saved from being killed at an over-crowed shelter or something.

  • Oooh this was great.

  • thats pretty cool man..

  • lol at all the cat people flipping over =D

  • --i dont know how he trained them... they deserve good keeping
