  • ...Whoa.

  • THAT WAS LARGE!!!

  • Hehe, there's a train on the HIGHWAY TO HELL, we can easily hear HELL'S BELLS from here, FOR THOSE ABOUT TO ROCK, IT'S A LONG WAY TO THE TOP, 'cause the ROCK N' ROLL TRAIN has been SHOT DOWN IN FLAMES, now they're BACK IN BLACK, meanwhile, there is this plane that'd been THUNDERSTRUCK with so much HIGH VOLTAGE that it wont be able to JAIL BREAK someone who's BORN TO BE WILD...

    P.S. I have BIG BALLS.

  • barney gumble makes a movie

  • my dad was a piolit he got struck by lightning all the time it dosent do anything to the plane

  • What an amazing plane

  • Whats amazing about the plane ?????????

  • it didnt hurt it to all you dumb asses, because the plane is not grounded. Something has to be grounded to shock it

  • sounds like peter griffin

  • You can just tell that person is fat

  • "Woah!"

  • you just film planes? lame

  • @NMPros he got this video from doin it

  • Plane : 1 God : 0

  • Is that the 'Advanced Lighting pack' that comes with Adobe After Effects?

  • the planes exterior is the only thing the current runs through. moving entirely around the plane.

  • That is the worst fake i've seen so far.

  • @Jaxx08 lols, planes are built to withstand lightning

  • @Jaxx08 except for the fact that its real -.-

  • Zeus used Lightning!

    It's not very effective...

  • Why is Kermit making videos of planes getting struck by lightning?

  • @CX118 LMFAO!

  • Yes it is quite common for planes to be hit by lightning, however, this clip is an excellent view of it happening, Well Done Indeed!!

  • 0:07... Cleavland?

  • i love video taping planes no stop till they get hit by lightning

  • That plane doesn't look very amazing to me.

  • Lol a big lightning strike hits a plane and his reaction is: wow.......

  • auch

  • Even if this vid actually is fake, that is actually what happens if a plane gets struck by lightning. The plane and people inside are left completley unharmed.

  • Imagine see that in the plane

  • MARTY WERE GOING BACK TO THE FUTURE

  • looks fake, the lightning strike is too big, width wise it nearly fills the camera which is uncommon in fork lightning ....

  • hahaha

  • IDIOT STORM... JOO HIT TERRORIST NOT PLANE

  • If lightning is god's anger, then he must really hate planes.

  • WOW

  • It's not very effective..

  • i think the passengers wont know that a lighting struck it

  • fake?

  • @xorpen1 Why would it be fake? Lightning hits planes all the time and doesn't hurt them. Lightning will hit just about anything, especially if it's in the air.

  • No thunder?

  • a plane is actually a safe place to be because the turbines or whatever absorb the electricity

  • Waw, incredible lightning strake that airplane !

  • Wait, wait.... wait, I see it, the plane is smoking at 0:09... wicked!

  • wow they must have shitted their pants

  • Fake

  • @TheMega6622 how?

  • If you were on the plane, would the lightning cause a power surge and blow out the lights?

  • @Pilot853 no

  • @Pilot853 aircrafts are designed in a such a way that, when struck by lightening it simply goes around the fuselage and exists at the empennage, so no

  • @Pilot853 no

planes are conductive and not grounded

so in one wing and out the other basically

    its totaly safe

  • Pikachu, use Thunderbolt!

    PIKAAAAA

    CHUUUUUUu!

  • Comment removed

  • wow

  • nice vid ur lucky u caught it..when a plane gets struck by lightning its as if nothing ever happened cause it is made of metal and metal is a good conductor of electricity and carries on with its ride

  • lol that is soo fake, the lighting is just a simple overlay effect, i have it myself.

  • It's Bush's fault!

  • that's not true, there was a special on weather on Discovery, they show a clip of a plane hit by lightning, they are made so that the lightning goes around the outside, it will not take the plane down, and the plane in the clip just keeps going. Most people on it didn't even know it happened.

  • @LoneWolfSpike

    Its not fake you lemon!

  • too bad there was no way to catch that electricity and store it in a cell

  • WOW!!!!!!

  • Flying into a thunderstorm..

    REAL smart..

  • love the reaction... "whoooaaa"

  • hahahaha =D totally agree

  • the dog prob heard or felt the delayed thunderclap, hence the barkin

  • I know that the lightning is very high heat about least 50,000 deg. wow amazing plane... how they did good design on it. Real Cool!! I just wonder if the passengers inside plane could be shock or pop sound louder? If so, let me know that you had experienced with it, thank

  • If lightnings could crash a plane, the aircrashes statistics would be way different. That's a big mother fucker lightning! Oo

  • All you can now hear from the cabin is

ARRRRRHHHH Help we're Going to die

    and from the cockpits

BEEPBEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP

Pull up Low Proximity Pull up

Dallis Tower this is flight 1245 we have just been struck by lightning and going down

    I JUST MADE THAT UP

  • ahaha... making the scripts? ahaha

  • ok i fucking laughed but i pray to god its not like this because i have to get on a plane in like a few months llol

  • comercial planes dontget affected when struck by ligthging there is something with the shape and the material on the outside that disperses the energy

  • Anyone who thinks that this is fake has to be a complete moron. Planes are built to be good conductors to keep it safe when flying through bad storms. Do your research you fucking retards before commenting "FAKE" like to stupid mindless child.

  • lol..

tat is NOT FAKE..tat is TRUE...

all aircraft flying tend to struck by lightning becoz of diffrential electrical energy btween aircraft and surrounding area. But nothing to worried becoz all aircraft structure is connect together by sumthing called bonding jumper..it will carry this electromotive force and then dissipated away by static wick placed on tailplane..

i know this as a Licence Aircraft Engineer..airframe n engine thread..

  • My plane almost got stucked yesterday.

  • spectacular.

  • wow that lightning bolt is so damn huge!

  • pause at 0:06

    awesome

  • Puase at 00:6 O-O

  • whoa! He sounds like Bernie off of Sesame Street.

  • who the fuck gets this stuff on flim like for real who sits and waits for planes to get struck by lighting hahaha thats intense anyway but for real?!

  • right... im going to go film my dog and wait for him to combust...

  • @sukapunchmp

    LOL

  • @sukapunchmp lol

  • nerds

  • i thought the same thing. Who waits for a thunderstorm and drives to the airport to expect a lightning?

  • You're an idiot. I doubt he was expecting the plane to get struck. He most likely had been filming the plane and was surprised by the lightning. It's common sense.

  • The plane's outer most shell protect everything from the shock.

  • lol you think that was fake?

  • thunder isnt always right after lightning. depends on how far away the storm is. looks far to me

  • just cuz there is lightning does not mean it will result in a clap of thunder

  • Thunder always accompanies lightning. There is no way an electrical charge as big as lighning could occur without sound. Thunder is the noise of air pockets heating and expanding rapidly around the discharge of electricity and then in a way exploding

  • Yes, yes it does.

  • the lighting just gets grounded becuase the plane has lighting picks on the plane which would just weave off the electrons that gets carried through

  • Whoahhhh Hahaha Loserrrr

  • nice lightning =D

  • its normal for a plane to be struck by lightning, in fact they're designed to be hit by lightning. The bolt hits the front of the nose and leaves at the end of the plane, so that the instruments won't mess up and the passengers won't get hurt

  • Cool, though from what I heard, it's still a bit scary, although the risks are minimal.

  • In fact, it's so common, most, if not all people don't even notice it, besides the pilot and first officer.

  • only some types of lightning

  • @iduno14 obviously

  • @iduno14 No. The end of the plane gets hit first then leaves at the front. lightning goes up, not down.

  • @haslehoffman doesn't lightning travel both Down from the clouds and UP from the ground. Lightning occurs because of a difference in charge between a storm cloud and the ground.

  • Lol I love whoever filmed this' reaction. Its so calm and unenthusiastic. I'd be like HOOOSHIITTT!

  • Wow! Amazing!

  • It ok right

  • ever done the chain-mail glove project well this is a real life demo of that and its also insulated by rubber

  • THAT"S NOT FAKE PLANES GET STRUCK ALL THE TIME the lightning just passes through the metal frame. nothing happens

  • If it passed through the frame, it would kill everyone inside. Planes act like faraday cages- they transfer the electricity around the fuselage down to the ground.

  • its not fake pause it right when the lightning hits and then it out lines the plane

  • yup pause at 6

  • Ok. Fly-by-wire is system of computers that rely electrical signals from the cockpit controls like throttle, flight surface controls, ect. It makes it easier for the pilot to control the plane plus it makes it more manuvarable. Autopilot is just programming flight systems and NAV so the plane can fly itself. Hope it helps anybody.

  • "Don't go into the light"

    "I can't heeellllllppp iiiitttt"

    zzzzzazzaaaapapppppp!

    "Aaaaaaah"

    "whoa..."

  • SHOCKING

  • Thats some damn raw power running thru that "small" plane.

  • pause it at :06

  • the last vision of AF447

  • lightning does not down a plane.

  • how do you know that it can NEVER bring down a plane?

  • Because of the the designed. They are designed to withstand lightning. Lightning strikes on aircraft are very common. I'm pretty sure you have never heard of a lightning being blamed on a plane crash.

  • I wouldnt say it is pretty common.

  • It's a common occurrence. Nothing out of the ordinary when it happens. A lot of things that goes on in the sky you never hear about. There usually isn't a need to share the info.

  • It can down a plane if the material that covers the fuel tank fails.

  • LMAO you are so not a pilot are you? Based on that logic if a flea gets into your brain you can die.

  • Please explain how a plane could not be taken down by lightning. I don't believe you are a pilot either if you claim someone else is not. Go on, do tell how everything is perfect. Malfunctions and failure does happen in an aircraft boy. You do know that if the lightning penetrates the fuel tank, everyone is dead right? Do go research about lightning strikes on an airplane. They need to coat the fuel tank will special material so it doesn't explode but sometimes, it can fail. Get it?

  • Yes unlike you I am a pilot. Second of course the material can fail, based on that logic anything can fail. The thing is that is not something that happens. Show me one case where a plane was downed by lighting because the material surround the fuel tanks failed? A materiel that is not exposed to anything that would cause it to fail. Also I am far from a boy.

  • Well I know about at lease one airplane that exploded due to a lightning strike that lit it's fuel tank.. I saw it on NG channel..

  • It was on the ground was it?

  • yet you have no flight number or anything. Thanks very much lol.

  • oh and before you comment on the 737-800 incident, it was suspected, and the plane was in a storm. Majority of experts would agree that a plane that sophisticated would not have been downed by lighting. Not with wind shear, turbulence, hail, and many other phenomena that goes on in sever storms.

  • Hi "Boy", Sorry but wasn't the recent French Airbus downed because of Lightning? A Pilot on Flight Simulator X we think! Do the internet community a favour! Log off your computer,,and sell it on ebay! then go to your local highway and play tag with oncoming trucks in the fast lane. I hate dickheads like you who come on here and believe they are gods gift to answer everything and that they know everything. I suggest you pick up a newspaper and read reality, not your fucking comics! Get A Life!!!

  • Comment removed

  • hey boy! you maybe pilot that is cool. You just fly the thing. But you don't know the mechanics of it.

  • It's obvious you don't either. Take some aviation classes then maybe you can comment.

  • Because everyone should know that Plaines can take Lightning strikes !!

  • The body of the airplane works as a Faraday cage normally. But maybe in extreme circumstances it fails. The windows are too big, so some electricity can get inside somehow. Think about the microwaves, with those tiny holes on the window... if they would be bigger it wouldnt protect you anymore.

  • Faraday cage. exactly.

  • Windows are to big? Also if a plane has tiny holes the least of your worries would be lightning.

  • no, you dont get it, the size of holes which is not made of metal make the farraday effect useless... the hole doesnt have to be real hole, but lets say a window which is not metal...

  • A window that is not metal?

  • first of all there is nothing around the fuel tank for lightning strikes if lightning hits the plane all that will happen as it will discharge all the electricity through its static wicks I think there are 7 on this type of plane not including the on on the horizontal stabilizer watch the video you'll see the lightening discharge through the tail its doing its job it is impossible for lightning to hit anywhere in the plane unless the bonding straps are damaged and there for it would be grounded

  • air france crash was because the horizontal stabilizer ripped off because air bus uses composite material for that they were probably hit by lightning cause the computers to fail and had to switch to fly by wire and the sever turbulence of the storm when they were smashing the rudder ripped it off its the 3rd one to rip off because air bus is a crappy plane I still to this day don't know why there in the air

  • Once again someone having no idea what they are talking about.

  • Y would they switch to fly by wire, when all modern airbus jets are fly by wire?

  • they switched from auto pilot to fly by wire they took over by hand when the lightning knocked the computers out

  • Proof that folks have no idea what they are talking about. I suggest you look what fly-by-wire is. You have meant to say they switched from autopilot to manual.

  • you have no idea what your talking about tell me I don't know what I'm talking about I'm an A&P mechanic I work at continetal in lagourdia please prove me wrong in anything you say I may have messed up with one thing I have said I wasn't thinking at the time and thats about the only thing you got right when you have talked about planes

  • Okay I have no idea what you are talking about, or trying to say. Slow down take some time and explain your point. Try rewriting that statement. What are you saying you messed up on?

  • Were is "lagourdia" ?

  • Fly by wire has nothing to do with auto plilot

  • That was the point i was trying to make.

  • yes, the window is not metal, interesting no? LOL

  • No not at all, you just don't know what you are talking about.

  • Ha ha seriously ilenses is about as dumb as a bag of hammers lol

  • man ive just seen you'r vid on the news haha lucky as hell

  • All Aircraft Big or Small have these Things Called Static Wicks...Those Attract the Lightning. The Bolt Look likes it hit the wing on the Copilot's side..They are Located on the Leading Edge of the Tail, and on the Tips of each stabilizer and wings...i actually worked a plane once that was delayed cause of one Missing Wick...it sucks but yeah..thats the FAA rules....

  • rofl when i was like 5 or 6 yrs old and flying down to florida... my flight got hit by lightning lol

  • Lightning Hit A My Flight From Turkey Back To Dublin.. Is It Serious?

  • yea .. If u're on ocean .....

  • It's common that Aircrafts is suspected to lightning strikes but should be avoided. This Video is not a fake i think. Airplanes won't melt just by gettin hit by a lightning, or burst or start to live and eat the peope in it tring to get king of the world. Its a question for design how to deal with it and how to dischrage the electrical potential.

by the way: I like that video

  • sounds like barney off of simpsons

  • HAHAHAHA
