this bass enigma i think is a little overpriced even for how good it is i would really like a tenor but since im used to songbirds ocarinas i would like a bass from you or a tenor from songbird. Why DO MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS HAVE TO BE SO DARN EXPENSIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!­!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@rexlink1 it depends what the instrument is, what kind it is, what key it is, where you get it, and what it is made of. if beginning, buy a cheap or plastic version of that instrument or borrow a friends. your better off buying a cheap version made of a cheap plastic of that instrument rather than renting a real one. but that's just me. just don't get ripped off by the seller. or buy it before you get somebody to inspect it. I bought a clarinet for $125 and had to pay $25 to get it adjusted.

@Newdrago9994 Thats the base version of the enigma ocarina which goes for just under $250. You probably would be more interested in the tenor or soprano which go for $56 and $35 or one of the plastic ones for $15 or so.

@maxBDAhustler ITs called an ocarina and they are actually one of the oldest instruments still in use today. She has a link in the description leading to the page for the bass ocarina though it is expensive. Look at the tenor and plastic ocarinas they are much cheaper.

Damn. I didnt know they make like different kinds of these things. All i knew was that they made the one from the Ocarina of Time (legend of zelda). That one has only 5 holes and is hard to play.

@oenex1234 There are multiple different kinds of ocarinas. The one you are mentioning is a english pendant style ocarina. But songbird also makes a transverse OOT, similar style-wise to this one.

@oenex1234 I have two Songbird ocarinas and I like them well enough. I haven't had a chance to try one from STL (didn't know about them at the time) to tell you how they compare. But my ocarinas are a 6-hole Zelda style and a 12-hole "OoT" model.
