After he pleaded nolo contendere to a single count of tax evasion and after he resigned the Vice Presidency in 1973, he never again spoke to Nixon. There were a few coincidences wherein both Nixon and Agnew stayed at the same hotel, but the two never met together.

At first, Agnew didn't want to attend Nixon's funeral because he still thought Nixon was an "A-hole". But his secretary begged him to attend because, after all, it was Nixon who made him Vice President. So reluctantly, Agnew went.

Honestly, this is the very definition of an elitist speech. Folks, this man had to resign from the office of the Vice Presidency in ignominy for tax evasion and bribery, charges which he plead No Contest to. It took YouTube comments sections to make me realize that there are still people in this country that long for the glory days of Spiro T. Agnew.
