Bible Doesn't say that universe or Earth was created out of light, but it says, 1st there was no light on earth and it was out of shape and void, later it goes on explaining that God created light and sperated it from darkness, and light he called day and darknes she called night, and then God created Land, etc etc,

which means, bible refers that Earth already existed, it was only dark, the intrepretation by zohar is not direct brother, its just man's self forged assumptions about bible's vers.

Jewish holy book is torah then, why is this kabalah been given this importance?

or, you're replacing torah with this book? or, its a cultural book or compile of information passed on generation to generation?

kabalah is not a book. its a collection of the jewish secrets of the nature and the world. it got few books most famous ones are the "zohar" and book of creation "sefer hayetzira".

The zohar book is the interpretation of the torah by the secret full meanings there.

It takes all the versions of the bible and give them interpretation by the secret meanings that were passed from generations...

the first verse in the bible say (and excuse my poor translation), at the beginning god created heavens and earth and their army (the stars)... the zohar interprets:

the world started from a tiny spark of light, this spark expended and expended to create the stars, the planets and the space....

note this this is amazing information if you consider it was written about two thousand years ago...
