  • Can you imagine if John's therapist had asked him to do a vlog instead? Running round London with a camera, sitting at the flat, the least crowded background he can find being the wall with the smiley face and the gunshots in it?

  • "Wanna see more?"

    "Oh god yes"

    best line ever :D

  • Who is John Watson?

    A BAMF. End of story.

  • @narusteph

I'm sorry- I'm no native speaker... What's a "BAMF"? Would be great, if you could help me out here. :)

  • @Berlius bad ass mother fucker

  • I love Benedict's verrrrry slight lisp. It's oddly sexy.

  • I do love Sherlock a lot more then the recent incarnation of Doctor Who. That being said, I'm also not about to shout abuses at people who do like the 11th Doctor. 9 & 10 will always be mine. Martin Freeman is adorable and seems to be such the regular guy. Not like those preened full of themselves Hollywood types. Hope he stays grounded. Awesome.

  • Bilbo!

  • Bilbo Baggins!

  • @saragirl971 and sherlock is smaug

  • @LlansleyNinja141 ...you really don't know, do you? You sad, sad little person..

  • @LlansleyNinja141 how. dare. you.

  • @LlansleyNinja141 surely, people can talk about what they want... have you even seen the newer Doctor Who? It's written by the same man that writes this, Moffat writes both... regardless... you have no say over what other people do and don't say on this video... so it's kind of pointless trying to get them to stop... why must you pick a fight with people simply enjoying themselves talking about whatever they wish, the connection between Sherlock and Doctor who here being the writer. Douchebag.

  • @LlansleyNinja141 ... Well, I also like Sherlock more than Doctor Who, but you didn't have to put it THAT way. Also, the writers for Sherlock also write for Doctor Who. Awkward.

  • Oh God, Yes!

Talking as an old army medic, I think has gotten Watson right on!

  • I started watching "A Study In Pink," and the minute Martin says to his therapist, "Nothing happens to me," I KNEW I would love the series. And so far I've been right.

  • "Oh God YES!!!!"

  • BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH, YOUR VOICE IS LIKE SILK THAT RUBS AGAINST MY INNERST, more plesent than it sounds.

  • Martin Freeman is just absolutely brilliant as Doctor Watson. I think John couldn't be played by anyone else ;) Now, I'm excited to see the second season... Even though it's not going to be released in France soon :( What a pity.

The fact that Martin Freeman and Benedict Cumberbatch are going to play in The Hobbit just made my day :D

  • its Dr.James Watson in the books...

  • @kanukulgood Dr.John Watson in the books its never been james

  • @MrSherlockWatson @kanukulgood Well only Mary has ever called him that, but it's common to have 'nicknames' of similar names in Victorian times (Harry for Hamish being an example). Also, ACD did make regular mistakes. But it was, overall, John.

  • does anyone know when the second season is coming out?

  • i can't wait for Series 2 coming later this year. it's going to be amazing.

  • "Sherlock is his best bet for some quick sort of easy getable excitement, you know."

    I see... lol XD

  • haha... he makes a funny noise when he wakes up suddenly. =D Martin Freeman is sexy, but not as sexy as Benedict Cumberbatch. I loved him in "Love Actually". Hilarious!!!!!!!

  • "Oh god yes." THAT'S THE BEST! XDD

  • The good thing is this show got me into Sherlock Holmes. Enjoyed it alot.

  • I watch the bbc channel a lot but never found this serie. Now when i live in sweden i found this wonderful serie on a random tv channel. Hilarious!

  • its official, I'm going to hibernate until autumn...then wake up and watch Sherlock.

  • @fiszieiszie are you up then? lol

  • @stephaniebrickman @SilvaraDragontear @ocdturtle they are making more next fall apparently -- watch him on the Alan Carr Show

  • Borderline addicting, this show.

  • @Criszzilla It sure is. The first episode got me permantly hooked on this show. I just love how they made Sherlock in to a snarky, sarcastic and arrogant sociopath, not to mention poor Watson who has to put up with Sherlock's rather divalike manners.

  • next season is airing around this october, how will we be able to wait. :(

  • @JwenJwen I don't know, I guess we will either buy or download the first season so we can comfort ourself with that until then.

  • couldn't wait for the next season!

oh, my sherlock & john, i miss you guys so so much

  • IF THERE ISN'T A 2ND SEASON SOON I'M GOING TO DIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIE D8

  • @oneshotofcoffee calm yourself, the new season is coming in october 2011

  • Chill out everyone. New episodes are coming soon, well...not soon, but they are.

  • cant wait for more! horrid cliff hanger! but so..brilliant! haha shall we see a little love triangle with irene~? will she even be in this? i personally only care for sherlock and john!

  • We need more than 3 episodes! Bugger! Ben Cumberbatch is the most brilliant actor ever!

  • they only made 3 episodes cuz they didnt know how it was going to turn out truth be told there making more yay XD im love this show

  • In what episode was the part from 0:20 to 0:39 ?

  • @FourteenInTheMAking episode one

  • the first

  • Comment removed

  • 0.00 Epic face!

Hah but seriously, Cumberbatch and Freeman play their roles magnificently. And like stephanibrickman says, 3 episodes is just... plain cruel...

  • well he said he was moriarty. although you do have a point seeing that moriarty is always one step ahead of holmes that guy could of been a decoy and the real moriarty is still out there.

  • Really outstanding series, when I first heard about the Holmes stories being moved to the 21st century I thought it would be nothing but a case of poorly done TV SH fanfiction, but Stepen Moffat and Benedict Cumbermatch and Martin Freeman did an outstanding and imaginative job, I haven't been this exicted since the Jeremy Brett series.

  • Spoiler.

I have found out the episodes in the next series!

    one is irene adler

    one is the hound

and the other is the final problem

    thanks to google news

  • @Starryvideos

gahh Final Problem. Does anyone else feel like Freeman is going to be incredible in that? Cant. Flippin. Wait!

and they definitely need to make more than 3 per series, coz it's just cruel!

  • @argetlamgirl711

    yes!

i wonder how they will "kill" each other, seeming as i am sure the reinbach would be sealed off now because of a steep fall!

  • @Starryvideos lol

  • @Starryvideos i cant wait to see the irene part itll be too funny

  • they make 3 episodes per season i think. its 90 minutes. i dont know why they are doing that though. but i wished they didnt show Moriarty so early. its supposed to be his arch nemesis but also left a mystery. i think they showed him way to fast.

  • cant wait when they show it next week on masterpiece theater! i love bbc productions! wish i could see more!

  • Who is John Galt?

  • Love Martin Freeman! The best choice for Dr.Watson!!!!

  • Did you notice how he touched his "limping" leg when remembering his "injuries"... He really steps into caracter real fast! lol

  • I noticed that his description of Watson missed the phrases "Intensely cool" and "Extremely awesome"

  • martin freeman was great in sherlock. Sherlock is one of the best programs i've watched this year

  • @xXnicolatteXx its one of the best shows EVER.

  • Sherlock is John's best bet for "quick, easily gettable excitement"? I'm sorry, but I - all right, I don't even *need* slash goggles for that. :D

  • @videosauce i know, i was just thinking 'hey hey! innuendo alert!'

  • With the last third episode to end the season it's sure they are preparing the second season. But I heard that the second season will be on aired in 2011... If it's true... I think that gonna be distressing!! ¬¬ I hope that just was a rumor...

  • : a.c. doyle wanted dr. watson to be a prominent figure in his stories, because he was a doctor himself. supposedly, he was irritated that sherlock holmes was getting all the attention. i've seen many adaptations and in all of them watson is portrayed as a side-kick. until now. the writers of the series and martin freeman do bring him to the fore-plan and place him on the equal par with sherlock. well done! i think doyle would be pleased with this adaptation.

  • : also, i'd like to compliment martin freeman on his talent and wish him all the best in his career. he is one of the best actors it's always joy to watch on screen!

  • Esta serie es muy genial, 10 temporadas seria lo justo, Sherlock tiene mucha historia, y con los recursos modernos... tenemos algo mejor que House y por mucho, suerte!

  • Amazing, simply amazing!

  • Moffat failed on his current series of doctor who (big stinking paradox). He should concentrate his efforts fully on Sherlock.

  • @boldertits He didn't fail; it all pieced together and made sense, and there were no paradoxes contrary to what you think.

  • @vmistry94

How did the Doctor get out of the pandorica?

  • @boldertits Rory got him out.

  • @Simpuramafampark

What a fine explanation of the obvious paradox.

The doctor can't have given Rory the screwdriver because he never escaped in the first place,

  • thnks soldier4670

  • Brilliant!!!!!!!!!

  • where can i buy the DVDs of new sherlock holmes series in the netherlands

  • @phuntshok88 Try amazon, they're going to release them soon!

  • martin is cute as watson :D

  • STEPHEN FRY to be Moriarty.

  • @SuperBob909 Oh God, Yes! I hope you're right! Please be right!!!

  • @SuperBob909

My initial reaction to your comment was, "HO-LY COW!! That would have been AWESOME!!" because it's Stephen Fry and he's the closest thing to God on this planet, so why not?

But then I thought, " ... but he can't be a bad guy. Anything related to Stephen Fry is automatically good, so it would be impossible to see him as a bad guy."

And THEN I thought, "Fuck it, I just want to see Stephen Fry and Benedict Cumberbatch in the same shot. Not as Moriarty, but put him in this show!" XD

  • only three episodes and they aren't even showing it on BBC america! maybe if we like it enough he'll make more?

  • Esta serie esta de verdad genial, vale la pena verla, suerte!

  • It is cruel that they're only making 3 episodes. Just plain cruel.

  • @stephaniebrickman it is, but they may make another series is they are successful. And i think we can agree they are :D

  • @stephaniebrickman The BBC decide on wednesday over a new seson. Keep the fingers crossed!

  • @Prisha308 : i think they have already decided about the second season. the way third episode ended, it is asking for a sequel. i think they are keeping the viewers in suspense to generate more press and "talk". and, besides, they must bring irene adler into the adaptation. "to sherlock holmes she is always THE woman". you can't have a complete adaptation without her! ;D

  • @Prisha308 Where can I find that out?

  • @stephaniebrickman Mh, maybe the news will released on bbc.co.uk. Or if I heared something, I let you know ;)

  • @stephaniebrickman The write says they'll be doing another series ^^

  • @stephaniebrickman I thought there was 4 Episodes!

  • @InsideMyMind there's an unscreened pilot on the dvd

  • @stephaniebrickman Not to mention the way the third episode ended. Good thing it's been confirmed for a second series.

  • @stephaniebrickman They've just commissioned more of the series.

  • @stephaniebrickman

There making more now! The 3 first episodes is now "Season One" & there working on Series two! :D

I hope they do all the books, the DVD is supposed to be 30th of August & has an extra episode! YAY!

I just finished reading Watson & Sherlock blogs, i think there great how they make them match the story & have comments from the characters. :D

  • @stephaniebrickman They are doing a second season, so there will be more :)

  • @stephaniebrickman Well at least there will be a second season..

  • @stephaniebrickman its been confirmed that they ARE going to make a 2nd series!!! >< cant wait!!!

  • @stephaniebrickman In fact, it´s cruel that they are making us wait for next year, but there will be 3 more episodes of this!

  • @stephaniebrickman I agree. And we have to wait till next Fall for new episodes. That's just WRONG!

  • @stephaniebrickman

    three words... second series confirmed.

  • @stephaniebrickman they are making more.

  • @universalradio i thought they were procrastinating because stephen moffet has dr. who

are they actually making more now?

cuz that would be awesome :D

  • @universalradio Yay for that, then we will just have to wait for it.

  • @stephaniebrickman 2nd series has been confirmed.

  • augh why cant i comment

  • @stephaniebrickman they have 3 more schelduled for this year

  • @stephaniebrickman theyre making three more this fall! :D

  • @demyxlover115 OHMYGOD THANK YOU, I was seriously about to cry.

  • @stephaniebrickman both actors will also be consumed by 'The Hobbit' soon so....

  • @stephaniebrickman Can you tell me when the second season premiere please? thank you

  • We definitely need more of Watson. Even without the mustache!

  • Steven Moffat is the best!

  • They can't be only be making so few episodes :(

    Awesome. Period.

  • One of the best BBC productions ever bar Top Gear an hr earlier.
