@TheGermangirl26 I have PTSD too! what helps me is 'u' the significant other.U r the most that he needs, just make him feel that u do listen, care of his past exprience, nver tell him to try to 4get,cz all ur doing is for him to resent u and the rest of wht he's use to. 4get this prgrams tht thy offer, its nthing but tax money being spent on other than the Veteran thmselve's.thy stop pying 4 travel cz thy said tht it's a personal problem? I'm a purple heart recipient,i guess it's my per- problem
I agree that in Iraq it does'nt matter where u r ,there is a chance to witness people getting killed, but please! stop claiming to be a combat Vet,if u'r MOS did not make u get up early and go outside the wire almost everyday to take the fight to the enemy, there is a big difference between being in the combat zone and actual combat,w/ an actual combat MOS.

Something that should be realized is that the training in the military is very traumatic and can cause PTSD as well. It's not just combat troops who were deployed who suffer from it, combat is merely the worst cause.
SugarTomAppleRoger This makes me sick. Americans truly admire Patton. This three star said that the guy with PTSD was a coward and tried to shoot him there and then. US Generals are scathing of shirkers and often still put them under drum head courts martial.
My dad was badly wounded in WW2. The last thing he could remember is seeing panzers rolling over them. There were only 68 panzers. Patton would have faced them down.
PTSD is not a 'nervous' disorder, it is the awaking of parts of the brain that normally are not used, it is the awaking of being homocidal and suicidal, look at it this was we have green, amber, and red lights for traffic, a part of the brain, the homocidal/suicidal part is set on amber light and you have to manage that, as well as you lose your normal brain settings that let you live and thrive
i have PTSD and BPD and i dont wanna admit it because i was taught to never show weakness just like the marienes, my dad was a cop a firefighter, worked on the FEMA team , went to hurricane floid, saved many lives everyday. i look up to him greatly and he never shows any sign of weakness. he is retired now. i never wanted to show my weakness but after relizing that i have flashback, anxiety, panic attacks untill the point i pass out... i thought its time to go seek help. i dont suffer, i deal.
@XyourXtoxicXloveX I feel ya. I have the same thing going on. Can't sleep, guilt (of loosing two friends), depression more than ever, night terrors, and flash backs. Loud sounds startle me, can't hear fireworks so that ruins the holidays for me and the wife. All they tell me is "I need to see a therapist.". Bullshit.
I have complex PTSD and BPD. I love your video. I'm a singer/songwriter. I made a video about all the shit going down right now (including the hidden wounds of Veterans) hope you like it. :) Let's all pitch in to right the wrongs!
Are you talking about my video or the NY Post video? Either way, I don't think raising awareness is exploitation.
We live in a world where people value being entertained over everything else. It's sad but true. Setting the facts to music is a way to get people to learn something.
Also, my husband lost his job almost a year ago and I am a sufferer of PTSD, so what am I exploiting myself? Give me a break, dude.
You don't think ptsd is real or what? If that's true just talk to anyone who was actually in any type of war situation or a situation where a person's life is in danger etc. The Pentagon has removed PTSD from it's medical list and did back in Vietnam and they won't put it back on now because they're afraid of losing soldiers. However it's a huge problem for soldiers coming back because they have to get help on their own and it can be very expensive. It makes me sick how they aren't helping.
We are not up to the experiences we give ourselves.
Some are. Some enjoy it.
I can't say more.
I was born in the cuban revolution.
everything that followed was humans hating humans.
That was just my family.
I know ptsd
It can be a family thing.

How's this as a cure for PTSD?
Send our soldiers back to the places they fought, load them with gifts, and let them play Santa Claus.

Please pray that John McCain seeks treatment for his PTSD. He is mistaking erratic, angry impulsivity for being a maverick.

whatever, but he did win the war.

People knew about this clear back to the American Civil War.
"War Veterans Suffer from PTSD" whoever came up with that title deserves to work for Rupert.
