You should be proud of the men and women of engine 49 and their performance in combat on the fire on Neponset Valley PKWY. when duty calls those guys are there in support of the mission.some say there a sleeper company but they fire into action in the drop of a hat. E-20 is a sleeper house but they go to any thing thats worth going to in dorchester .those guys have salt dripping off there coats from years of experience at busy houses such as engine 21 on the AVE baby ! A good part of their runs are to the nursing home up the street. Most of Dots fires are in the three decker areas. Roxbury is a slum, alot of abandoned wood framed structures, and if your at Fort Dudley, you get to mess around with the locals.

This fire went to 4 due to the fact that half the first response companies to this fire are working in quincy at another fire. Also, the temp was in single digits with a wind chill of neg. They struck 4 for rehab of companies. Spring time fire with warmer temps, this would have been probably a 2 bagger.
