Jack's comment concerning his attendance at the Laker is all the more humorous when you listen to Dustin Hoffman's comments at the ceremony. Hoffman makes light of the fact that Nicholson is not at the event, but that "rumor has it that he is going to combine the two." Obviously, when Jack DOES show up, he refers to hiis attendance at the game with a wicked stare in Hoffman's direction. One of Nicholson's many talents: he is never at a loss in situations.
