I was so excited when I thought I had found a song I never knew Elvis had sung. Well. It's NOT Elvis. He had a much, much better voice than this singer!

Elvis recorded many old hyms, but he never recorded Old Rugged Cross.
And I think than any real Elvis fan cant tell that this is not Elvis singing

I doubt that Elvis has not sung this song ... born in a Christian home and began singing in church group ... this is a hymn sung in praise of God in the congregations ...

@wasabi2008amar ,I'm very sure I heard a copy of Elvis doing the old rugged cross.My grandfather still has the record he bought in the US at a pawn shop in the 70's.I have no doubt that it is Elvis.I will do my best to down load it onto You tube.

Exactly. Anyone that says this is is not an Elvis fan. It is a country rendition, The slide guitar gives that away. It is still a great version, Just NOT Elvis.

Its John Berry. I searched in google. I also thought it was Elvis. I downloaded the song from Limewire, artist stated Elvis. Wrong mistake. But tnx so much for sharing. I'm a great fan of the king.
