actually 1234LEGEND, Liam was supposed to sing this song, and Noel was supposed to sing Wonderwall...but people mistook Wonderwall for a love song, but to Noel it was a friendship song...so since everybody took the Wonderwall as the wrong way from what Noel saw it as, he made Liam sing it...8888ji is partially right

Nah...he has always said that Wonderwall was a love song. He said @ the time that it was for his wife (who he had only just married @ the time) After the divorce he took back that it was about Meg but never denied that it was a song about love.

The actual story was that Noel wanted to sing Wonderwall, but Liam insisted on singing it, so Noel said he'd take this one instead.
