  • Incredible! And irreplaceable! I still love Baez voice and song! Her voice is Eternal innocence^^!

    Thank you for uploading♪♪

  • how wouldnt you fall immediately in love with her

  • The audience should have stood up and clapped.

  • i think that aside from the omitted verses this is better than the studio recording!

  • Ah , Joannie hen. If only oor universes had crossed. But then again, ah'm spoken for, and widnae swap ma bird for ye, tho ye are a beatiful lassie. I'll tell BOb ye were askin for him". Och aye the noo, Glesga rules etc etc

  • quando a emoção é muito forte e você não sabe ao certo o que dizer, você apenas fecha os olhos e sonha. É assim que eu me sinto quando ouço joan baez.

  • Incredible voice, I mean awesome. BUT cannot really be a true vessel of these old ballads. She made them more accessible to a large audience, but can never be considered a master of the trade.

  • What an icon! I saw her live early this year and though only about 2000 people had come, it was great. She's the grand madame of music business. No singer will ever get close to her!

  • she is awesome

  • Gorgeous. Would love to hear the entire song. The tapestry of leaves blowing behind her just adds to the beauty.

  • thanks!! she's my favorite pop diva^^

  • On 2:39, Donovan in the crowd:)

  • She was very pretty. like your voice.

  • fantastique..toujours elle será comme Ça

une voix qui chante avec son coeur

  • Oh hold your tongue my sovereign liege

    And let your folly be

For if you'd a mind to save my life

You'd never have shamed me here

Last night there were four marys

    tonight there'll be but three

It was Mary Beaton and Mary Seton

    And Mary Carmichael and me.

  • Word is to the kitchen gone, and word is to the Hall And word is up to Madam the Queen, and that's the worst of all That Mary Hamilton has borne a babe To the highest Stuart of all Oh rise, arise Mary Hamilton Arise and tell to me What thou hast done with thy wee babe I saw and heard weep by thee I put him in a tiny boat And cast him out to sea That he might sink or he might swim But he'd never come back to me
  • This was just a workshop at Newport not her concert which took place at night.

It is Peter Yarrow trying to give Joan her props, which she certainly deserved.

  • I thought it seemed a little too casual, even for Newport.

  • it was an afternoon workshop NOT a concert. Besides, that beautiful singing is anything but casual.

  • That's what I'm saying. I seemed a little little too casual for an actual Newport concert.

  • And I'm talking about the audience and how everything it staged, not Joan's professionalism.

  • Newport '63 or '64. Ballad (studio) is included of the 61 album.

  • Seems to be missing about half of the song. Introduction took too long.

  • Beautiful ! Sounds like Peter Yarrow giving the introduction. Thanks for posting.
