US contribution to defeating the Axis in WW2: #1. We beat the Japanese almost singlehandedly, besides some help from the Aussies and a little from the Brits, and we rank #2 in contribution to defeating the Germans. Britain was too small to be able to take on the Germans on land, and too hesitant after WW1, of the several army groups who faced Hitler in the West, the Brits controlled 1 and that was not all British, but included other allies.

This is pseudoscience scare video. Megatsunami will not form because of a slide (only locally perhaps) Even a big chunk of rock sliding is still a point source of a wave. While falling, it will displace an amount of water, forming a wave, which will spread across the ocean and thus dissipate. To create megatsunami, there needs to be huge water displacement, such as after underwater earthquake when seafloor rises by 30m over hundreds of km, displacing like 1000 times more water.

I don't think this will be a natural disaster because when the mega tsunamis are heading towards the u.s coast we can make our own tsunamis or large waves to hit the mega tsunami to either decrease its size or stop it completely depending how big the waves we can create.

@harold562 - Part of the problem is "cavitation", where the rock hits the water so fast that the water can't get behind it, which compresses all the energy into one devastating pulse.
Because ice is less dense than liquid water & floats, even if it hits the surface of the ocean at high speed, it's buoyancy will almost immediately force it up to the surface & convert its vertical velocity to horizontal velocity - meaning there will be no cavitation & the ice will just skim along the surface...

arma, America contributed the second most in Europe against the Germans after Russia, Britain's heroic effort was less than half of what we were able to bring to bear. We fielded 3 + times as many troops, and many more planes against the Nazis than the Brits did, who avoided committing huge chunks of infantry manpower the entire war. We contributed more than any country to defeating the Axis, the Commie scum only focused on Germany and did nothing to help us in the Pacific.

If it had just been Britain and the Commie vermin, the earliest they could have won in Europe would have been 1950, and they could have very easily lost. There's no probable way that Britain could have gotten back onto the Continent without the US supplying most of the manpower like we did, and so there would be no Western Front. The Communists usage of dumb, brute force combined with no concern for losing countless millions of troops eventually bled the Germans dry.

US contribution to defeating the Axis in WW2: #1. We beat the Japanese almost singlehandedly, besides some help from the Aussies and a little from the Brits, and we rank #2 in contribution to defeating the Germans. Britain was too small to be able to take on the Germans on land, and too hesitant after WW1, of the several army groups who faced Hitler in the West, the Brits controlled 1 and that was not all British, but included other allies.

Two things really what has this got to do with tsunamis, second the russians did fight the japanese right at the end of the war check out the manchurain campaign in 1945. the campaign is seen as a great excample of speed and surprise but is little known due to being over shadowed by the dropping of the A-bombs

The campaign is not seen as a great example of speed and surprise, although their 1939 one in the same area is, the 1945 Russian Pacific campaign is known as an easy mop up operation against an already defeated enemy with no prayer of winning.

This is pseudoscience scare video. Megatsunami will not form because of a slide (only locally perhaps) Even a big chunk of rock sliding is still a point source of a wave. While falling, it will displace an amount of water, forming a wave, which will spread across the ocean and thus dissipate. To create megatsunami, there needs to be huge water displacement, such as after underwater earthquake when seafloor rises by 30m over hundreds of km, displacing like 1000 times more water.
