  • wonderful.. great style and performance !!

  • Very original and very well said.

Love this man's sense of tonality and presentation. lol

Simply love this man's expression and passion for music.

    Thx for this post Pinot!

I do think certain aspects of the first post of Nordamerica had it's place too. But you are very adept and expressive. Love to ya brother.

  • Masterful composition and perfect execution

  • If anyone played this old school video game called Secret of Evermore, you'd notice how much this song sounds like it belongs in that game.

  • I would sooo get high with this guy

  • Pino - an amazing musician! He has a very deep and unusual musical compositions! He has his own unique style and amazing musical ideas!

  • The first times I listened to this song...that beginning sounded so wrooong to me xDD, but don't get me wrong. It is all lovely in it's own style. This piece is very unique.

  • i would also give candyrat serious buck for this tab ..... and wild parkings too.

  • @TheAlexEG - Do you mean, You would let them park in the "Backside"?

  • @APPRENTTICE

    Beno Beno

  • this could have been written by bethoven

  • i think he just chromaticized my brain

  • I stick to my last statement. Looks like a monk from 3rd century B.C. that got dug up, thawed out and went straight to the nearest guitar so he could WRECK THAT HO! thanks man.

  • I can't believe this one just got 102062 views ·_·

  • The bittersweet melody of the human mind, misfitting, chaotic, unstable yet in the end always leading to a beautiful unity.

Pino thank you in the name of many.......

  • Pino is my favourite guitar player ever!

North America and Fase 1 two of the best songs ever created!!!

  • that looks like andy mckees house o.o

  • @hejokem that's the candyrat recording studio.

  • this song is one of the most beautiful piece of music if have ever heard

  • Great music, sounds like modern Bach.

Keep it and go on, Pino!

  • This guy is different. Awesome, but different

  • cool... 3 strings are droped, just dont know what strings they are..

  • its funny i use that insult too when i really dont like someone and most of the time they cant even take it as an insult.....how to combat this?????

  • please oh please do an european tour with guitar republic and play at least one show in portugal. Must see all this awesomness in the form of guitar playing at least once .

  • badass song dude

  • yet another badass from candyrat.

  • Dream dad.

  • no melody?

  • Are you searching for the right one?

  • i hope he makes some new stuff soon.

  • Pwah, he is really good !I think i'm going to buy his CD on candyrat.

  • dont really like the tunes but hes amazing @ playing x

  • I really love this song.

  • A hectik day....and then you find that place of peace, apprecition and wonderment in our busy, confusing but perfectly beautiful world.

  • i loved watching this. this was my first view of this song. And all I can say is EXTRAORDINARY + MAGICAL. Pino is classic.

  • Pity on anyone who can't find melody in this piece. It is truly amazing.

  • LOL!

  • spider-like fingers

  • Also, for those of you who like the fashion of music that expresses seemingly nonsensical ideas using what others would call "random" notes and you like metal or any of its sub genres, I suggest to you the band PsyOpus. I would say that they are tech metal mixed with math grind. Enjoy

  • I don't understand why people insist that music is an exact science and is wrong unless it follows what they believe is the axiom.

  • No kidding. I'm sick of mainstream... recycling the same crap with different artists. As if we're stupid.

  • Nordamerica= life confusing and hard to grasp but somehow flows together ever so beautifully.

  • This song is so ridiculously complicated yet beautiful and dark at the same time! VIRTUOSO!

  • not really, ive been playing fingerstyle stuff like this for about 4 years now.

  • im referring to the chord and note usage, not necessarily the playing style

  • i love how it almost confuses you. i try to latch onto a rhythm or melody but he constantly changes it. there is some fluidity throughout tho that holds the piece together

  • t's so beautiful... where can i have the tab , please ? I want to learn this music !

It's a great job and i congratulation you.

  • You can't learn this music by tabs, you have to learn it your self.

  • on candyrat

  • Tight effect on 2:38.

  • His skill is great, but it feels to me as if there is no melody to this and just a bunch of amazing skills put in one and not all in the same key.

  • is this your first time listening to this piece?

cuz i had the same sentiments on my first view. but heard this again and again and the melody showed itself to me.

    There's a melody.

  • I freakin love Pino. So much emotion and soul in his music. I can see why he looks the way he does when he plays. I really dig is music and his unique style.

  • lol... please do us a favor and go listen to some Cannibal Corpse or something similar, i'm sure it'll sound better to your ears :D

    Thanks! haha

  • and you need to stfu and listen. open YOUR ears.

  • awesome

  • I love his style and the way he enjoys playing. Great composition.

  • amazing grasp of melody and the emotions portrayed within notes.

  • very unconventional way of playing an acoustic guitar with a classical guitar position. whatever works i guess. good stuff.

  • ronaldo

  • What tuning style does he use...

  • i love how he executes dissonant sounds along with the mellow sounds. it all somehow works in the end. amazing....

  • my thoughts exactly

  • @nsrocker99 there is no system

  • I don't think the two are exactly comparable. I understand that you prefer the sound of Andy Mckee, but they play different styles.

  • true. thanks for the advice.

  • Questo pezzo è da paura!

    Fenomeno

  • oh 2:11 ... wow.

  • i love his expressions!! amazing song!

  • Detroit, March 7th, with Antoine Dufour and Craig D'Andrea

  • Pino, i swear you are the best guitarist I have ever heard.

ps: the look you have at the end of the song is epic!

  • Incredible, he continues where Hedges left off, a true virtuoso.

  • this song reminds me of "dance of the sugar fairies"..

  • he's as funny to watch as steve vai, with his facial expressions hehe

  • really good man, keep this up

  • This man is a real artist..I love to watch his face while listening, you can see the emotion.

I love the part from 00:27 to 00:38 because at 00:27 it sounds happy in a way..well actually sort of free. and then it turns to a sort of dark atmosphere. and at this point you can see his face slowly turning from happy to bitterness and passion.

  • you're too much envious to see and to hear, I think. Happy New Year, by the way...

  • I laughed when I saw this, people that gave you a thumbs down need lighten up a bit, I think :)

  • He was really enjoying playing.

  • vabbè.. straordinario.. Ogni volta per una ragione o un'altra perdo i tuoi spettacoli al Bigmama.. faccio in modo da esserci la prossima volta, in prima fila..

    Complimenti di cuore..

    Umberto

  • is that a shotgun shell on ur tuner key

  • beautiful.

  • this guys hands are huge :|

  • and how does he get the last note at the end?

is that a slap harmonic or something?

  • he does the harmonic with his right hand after he hits the back of the fret board and plucks the last string wit his pinkey, i think.

  • Left hand pull off harmonic on the seventh fret.

  • i am sitting here in complete awe

nothing much more to say except this song was nothing short of god-like

  • *eMoTiOnal Thunderstorm* I cant help but weep for 12 to 15 seconds at least while pleasuring my ears with this eMoTiOnal Thunderstorm. /cries

  • I get lost in a Trance whilst gazing upon Pinos Beautiful face. *emotion*

  • i hope evryone can hear thissssssssss

  • wow...so amazing how a person is able to create such music that moves others. i just sit back and get lost inside a musical trance when i listen to this.

  • btw does the little hand on the uuhm tuning mechanism (I don't know if it's the correct name for it) have some sort of meaning? or is it just a decoration..?

  • Its probably nothing.

  • this guy rocks totaly the is purely original and full of soul

  • I think this is Sooo good! I really love the abstract sence in his music...is that even a good sentence..? when I listen to this,, I close my eyes and Pino tells the story..

  • I seen the official video to this in late 2006..it blew my mind!!! It is a odd arrangement but it proves what you can do with open chords. It would go great with some surreal scenery. Thanks Candyrat!

  • So you guys put his comment on -7 because he has a slitely different opinion? He doens't say it's a bad song. I like the song very much, i can;t think of a way making it better.

  • he seemed relax

  • very good

  • A beautiful piece brilliantly played.

  • makes me feel like jumping off a bridge....

  • please do

  • I don NOT get this at all....ummm.. I really dont know what to say??...seems like it starts off going nowhere...and end up in the same place that it started....It rambles, endlessly-- a lot like me, and has no meaning...I love all the CANDYRAT artists, but this guy...I dont get it....sounds like he threw a bunch off lessons together....Im manic depressive-bi-polar...and right about now Im thinking this guy could use my doctors number?????

  • If I were you I wouldn't intentionally let other people know how ignorant and misinformed I was by making comments like this...at least give us a chance to figure out how dumb you are on our own.

  • Well, thank you so much for letting us know about the things YOU don't understand...

  • for me, it is both strange and beautiful at the same time

  • His pieces always sound to me like they were meant for orchestras.

  • Pino has an artistic musical spirit. His pieces may not always follow a traditional flow but they are beautifully done.

Not everyone likes still life, impressionist or surrealistic paintings and that's ok but you cannot deny when something is brilliantly done. The same goes with music. I find his music refreshingly original, some of his stuff is soothing, some abstract, and he can show a little attitude with pieces like 'Rag Tap Boom'. All said and done he is a brilliant guitarist/musician.

  • Real clean

  • love the facial expression.. and the playing of course

  • man what the hell is candyrat anyway

  • this is seriously one of the best acoustic guitarist in the world, him and Andy McKee both

  • does he use his pinky?

  • uh, yeah.

    :S

  • HOLY HELL!!! Those hands take up more than half of the fretboard!!!

  • When I listen this with my eyes closed I get image of two guys jamming in some jazz bar, other playing piano and the other playing electric guitar and having good chilling time :)

I really love this song, it just wraps your brains inside out :)

  • I love this piece!

  • sounds like classical guitar played on a steelstring.

    :)

  • It's easy to get caught up in the technical virtousity of these player, and the desire to play their pieces. I think we can often forget to forget all that and really listen for the transcedant emotional element that the artist is trying to communicate. Capturing that element is what I strive for when Iam learning another artists music. Tabs are great because they make that experience more accesable and encourage people to get engaged. I think it a very bourgious attitude to criticise.

  • bourgeois

  • Sei un grande, Pino!

A parte la tecnica, la tua musica ha una GRANDE anima

  • Thats happen when you put your soul and mind fully to what you are doing...

  • really, cant we just listen to the music and enjoy it?

and you should really listen to the whole song before you judge it

    this one's actually really good

  • Unfortunately not. In the world we live in? It's impossible to find peace.

  • Not if you look in the right places...

  • shermanpot: Do you always come across as such an idiot when you talk? Mind your own god damn business. I don't have the musical background nor the time to devote to learning such a complicated song, and I would like to PURCHASE the tabs for this song to give me a helping hand. I'm not asking for the tabs for free, i'm looking to BUY them and to further support the artist. If you dont like it then shut up and don't leave such inane comments.

  • Thanks for solidifying my point. I'm not trying to be all high and mighty but its really hard for anybody to take a person like you seriously when you begin your reply with "you pissy fucker". If you were trying to present me with some helpful direction, why swear and bitch and come across as being so hostile?

  • The comments say tabs are available, but I can't find them on the candyrat website or on Pino's website. Can somebody please aim my wallet in the right direction?

  • que desagradable el culiao!!

  • He is an accomplished artist!!!! Very nice :)

  • I love the ending to this song!

  • 0:56 to 1:17 was probably the best piece of music I've heard in my life.

  • yeah u r right... thats a pretty cool part of the song

  • lmaooo that made me laugh, seriously. but i agree that pino is one of the best guitarists i've ever heard. i love the compositions he's made.

  • This is one of my favorite songs ever, in any genre. Thanks for being so damn weird ;)

  • favourited!!!

    5 million starts!!

    this is wikked..

I found the ending funny haha I don't know why.. but that's not to say I didn't like it XD

    and wow.. I love the part 0:27 - 0:41

    soothing.. gives me undescribable feeling..

  • solitude

  • This is a very heart felt performance, its very sad at parts and at others very soothing. Amazing song keep it up!

  • From what i just saw, i guess guitar playing may be even more devastating for the human being than heroin :D

    This guy is amazing.

  • can anybody tell me what microphone was used here? pls respond

  • its a parabolic microphone which picks up the slightest sound of anything in a certain radius. It's pretty sensitive apparently.

  • amazing.

  • His technique reminds me of mine. Very large fingermovements. But it's interesting to note that he positions his wrist like a pianist. Meaning he adjusts it after which finger is playing.

  • some people call him Piano Forastiere

  • very strange composition, unusually, thats good -something new

  • This is a really cool song, but what time signature is this? It changes a lot X_X

  • I know it's actually insane, I'm trying to figure it out. haha

  • I like his style. Instead of just using the same patterns and repeating 2, 3 times each, he just goes and never stops!

  • and he should smile

  • are you blind? he does smile

  • the high quality feature on this video has made the most difference ive ever seen it make in a video.

it all looks so much more crisp, and the sound is super sharp.

    very fun to listen to

  • very interesting composition. not sure if it all flows cohesively in the spectrum hes traveling in but made for some concentrated listening.

  • I always give these guys a chance, Ive liked everyone from rpoland, but this guy loses me everytime. Im just not on the same page.

  • he has a strange structure for sure

  • Very nice song and choreography. I must give five stars the face work:-). What tuning is used?

  • C# G# D# E B E

  • Another amazing thing about this tune is how he uses dissonance and atonalities in a beautiful way. I mean, instead of talking about other guitarists, I have to look at the great classical composers of the 20th century - and that's a tribute to how great I feel Pino really is as a composer.

  • i could listen to this all day.

    Unbelievable!

  • This is sublime. It reminds me somewhat of one of Alex De Grassi's masterpieces, "Causeway".
