  • intro reminding anyone else of the water levels off Mario?

  • This is certainly one of the great American movie musicals - and it was made by patriots. It is American through and through. Back then, only the enclaves of east coast communists hated the country - now, sadly, many Americans hate their own country enough to refer to this film as "propaganda".

  • You were supposed to see the wiring. Why do you refer to this as propoganda? We were fighting a war that in 1943, was still a toss up. What you call propoganda, I call patriotism at it's best. You must be too young to remember the feeling of being proud of your country.

  • A classic movie

  • You're quite right about the irrelevance, but "Citizen Kane",the original choice had already been taken by the time they were ready to release this,so they had to take next-best, I guess. Having been raised in a "show" family, I was conditioned from an early-age to read credits. This made for some nice-reading. Leo Robin, the lyricst, lived just below my grandfather in the same condo. We were great friends and he was such a great-guy. Natalie Kalmus lived next-door to us in Benedict Canyon. RJ

  • The title of this film is completely irrelevant to the story, so much so that I wonder why anyone chose it in the first place.

  • These movies were made during WWII and were basically distractions for the American public. The technicolor pratically jumped off the scrreen at you.
