im from west orange high school in winter garden florida, i really liked your show. drumline did a very good job. as well as woodwinds. brass shouldve been a bit louder, im not if thats how its supposed to sound or if its just the brass, but anyways pit was really clean as well. Guard did an outstanding job. Nice work you guys.
I'm from Southington High School...I really do like your drill a lot!!!...very clean, and few mistakes that could be seen easily were done...From a more musical standpoint, compared to our band at least, it was very weak...How come i could barely here high brass, let alone low brass...Too much woodwinds throughout the show!...Brass you need to really improve also!!!...Should you have won idk?!?....But very nice job guys...It must've been hard to perfect the drill as well as you did...

@evetsp10 Thanks evestp10. the drill was definetly a great highlight of the show. Especially the ending drill.. that took ALOT of practice.. believe me.. but we have a great drill writer. I think the opposite from you, i could barely hear the woodwinds!( i play clarinet). I appreciate your critique but the professional judges have West Orange winning by 0.8.
@Maxmizer55 Yes I know...we are known for picking "brassier" songs, and our brass section is much stronger then the woodwinds, probably because our brass is more dedicated...and I hope i didnt come off rude, I do congradulate you on winning!!!...It is an honor :)
@evetsp10 I am from Dr Phillips high school. First let me say AMAZING PERFORMANCE!!! Congrats on placing first!!! Your drill is very well written and very effectively executed. My school does not march nearly as well as you guys, but we still tear it up!! Honestly your music is awesome woodwinds and brass did pretty well, I do not agree with whoever this is right here lol. The only thing I would say is the percussion got to loud at times and bled out the band sound, but that is easy to fix =)

@amisteroni the specilalty in this band is the IT factor not the common fast paced music like most of the band that lost , this is a refresing change.....
i think this is cool, but the whole thing is basically at a walking pace and there is no excitement until the end. kinda got bored half-way through. i hear a bit of blackstone-milvilles' 2008 show in there as well as dartmouth's 2009 show.... sick weapon line though!

my daughter plays clarinet with the Marching Mountaineer I've seen them play fresh from band camp all the way to becoming USSBA STATE and Northeastern Champions for me they are the best highschool marching band 2009
it's always a joy watching this marching band play live each and every competition, they could have win it all, wish they have competed in the Nationals in Annapolis today........
