Always point the nailgun at someone, someones head, etc. when shooting nails, and passing the gun, with your finger on the trigger, to your co-worker. NOT!!!! THAT WAS VERY DANGEROUS GUYS! Your going to kill, blind, or injure someone if you keep it up like that!!!!!!!
a weight bearing structure should have its support beams resting tongue and groove vertically ontop of the load bearing pillars that way the wood will support itself and just held in place with the nails not dependant on the nails for the whole structure lol...
Check this video at 3:04 min into the video. The whole deck was moving. It shouldn't have. Never point nailgun at someone else or stand in front of it when somebody is nailing. Most likely its been done without permit. Wow you guys ROCK. LOL.
LOVE THE VIDEO. Its perfect example what not to do. I hope you don't get sued boys. You guys work for Labour Ready ?
See sh.t like this just pisses people off. That's why you get the negative comments. 5 people likes your video and there is 5 of you. ?
You have got to be kidding me! This deck will fall! That is the worst I have ever seen! NO SUPPORT? Where are the bolts and beams. These guys probably just dug holes and stuck the 4x4s in.
This video should be called something like, "Fun building a deck" or "near-misses with guys waving a nailgun in each others' faces." The comments about your practices being less than prudent are probably spot-on. I was looking for actual advice on how to do this.
This is the "Trailer Park Boys" version of the DIY video. Cheers!
WRONG! This is the reason we have so many spinal cord injuries and deaths from 2nd story decks. Where are the joist hangers, support beams, lag bolts for the ledger board??? This deck will hold a 1000lbs. for the short term but is going to fail. Wood contracts and expands several times each day due to heat, cold and moisture. Nails will start to pull out or loosen over time. Be aware when you post, innocent do-it-yourselfers may think these methods are correct and safe. They are far from it.
Nah, I'm sure it will be just fine. We only charged the old lady $2,000 labor... I'm sure it'll be cool. She didnt catch us drinking behind the garage.
I do not have a video on building a deck. That does not mean that your video is the right way to build one. The structure of your dck is suspect. I'm sure you did the best that you could but I would be nervous that time might not be kind to your design.
It sure does hold up 'der Tits O'Malley. We had over 1,000 lbs on it. Wheres your deck, Cybertrader69? You too busy playing TradeWars or The Pit on your 1200 baud Tandy Phone on the old BBS'? Makes sense...
What a waste of good material... Hope no one got hurt when the deck collapsed.

Dangerous to use nails on a second story! Lag,carriage bolts and screws all the way if you want it to last beyond 10 years...
