  • Do you get to carry one when you join?

  • Heh that brings me back to when my parents made me join CAP, we actually had to go to an army training base & did shoot some firearms and qualify. It was cool but there are way to many tight-asses in there for me to ever consider going back as an adult.

  • @Amateur946 everyone knows its .223 or 5.56. unless its the real thing then its .308. ok.

  • i got em both. m1a-m14 and mini 14 ranch rifle. .they both kick butt ,but only the mini can be fired full auto. . the m1a .on full auto would kick yo ass. . and rise like the sun. m1a is made for bi-pod and scope. ,the mini is made for full auto and spray and pray.

  • First off. If he was in cap he would be breaking every reg in the book. Second Iam a public affairs officer for my sqdn. I know the regs. This kid wishes he was in cap.

  • Obviously not CAP. We don't fire guns and where are his PATCHES? He's not in the CAP. Just a sad little kid who is shooting daddy's gun in daddy's used camos.

  • @OpTiMuSiBUNNY if you could read (you can't) you'd know what the video was about. unfortunately you didn't look past the title.

  • what the fuck is CAP? Some weak JROTC type shit?

  • what's your squad number?

  • This video was made when I was firing my Mini-14 a few years ago while I was in CAP and used as a video that I could show the cadets at our squadron what I had. The misleading title got me more views so truthful I dont really care. But yes everyone is right. It's very rare that C.A.P fires weapons. Blanks, yes sometimes, live ammo, not really.

  • @river210 cap dose let the Alaska wing carry rifles in certain areas for SAR operations but usually not

  • is this a Ruger mini 14?

  • Once again, Another great thing that the CAP came in contact with and had its reputation for me ruined...Screw you Cap for your Communist flithy ways .

  • I don't get it.... Is the Mini 14 accurate out of the box?

  • @river210 your pretty lucky man. I have got my marksman for a 50 feet light rifle. I still have to go to kansas to do it to.

  • Yeah.... CAP are all 100 Percent Civilians and do not fire weapons... with the Civil Air Patrol.... EVER. I am a member of the military and Civil Air Patrol. This is just a kid who thinks it's cool to wear camo when he shoots his privately owned gun.

  • CAP doesn't use guns and has no need for them, it's just a mislabeled video

  • @tbsdrummer87 true, however, they might do something to familarize cadets with basic firearms safety. They do not however carry weapons of any kind.

  • This is obviously NOT a CAP event. You are WRONG for titling this video the way you did. CAP does not use firearms in any of it's functions, except that firing is offered as an orientation course at some wing encampments under strict supervision of military, law enforcement, or NRA instructors.

  • @kjmillig1 ya our squadron did it once i think it was under the NRA category. Sucks that we dont tho.

  • To bad we don't get guns.

  • I <3 cap!

  • @SpcNabkey fuck you

  • U shoot guns some times in cap retared

  • And why are you wearing your BDU's while doing something completely and totally unrelated to CAP?

  • BS! mini 14s arent that accurate. you trying to say you can keep your rounds in about a 3-4 inch circle at 650 yards!?BULL!!too bad you cant prove it over the internet(or anyplace else),so people that dont know belive you.nice little rifles, but accurate over long ranges they ARE NOT!

  • awesome...so it takes both .223 and 5.56? I've heard that 5.56 creates too much pressure in the barrels of most rifles made for sport and hunting chambered for .223

  • I've been looking to join the CAP.

  • I haven't been in for a while now and its more for 12-14 year olds and then the older teens run the show although you get power hungry 13 year olds that get in and think that they can boss 18 year olds around so I quit and with my marine corps enlistment its much better that way.

  • @river210 ahahaha..... yup that's so true....

  • @river210 yeah ive benn in it for 5 months and ur rite the 13 yrolds get on my nerves

  • don't join it can be boring after a while just join the normal military if your old enough

  • the civil air patrol is the same as the boyscouts right?

  • no the boyscouts are fags infact we call them gayscouts or fagscouts

  • @itinkgirlzhot12 your a cunt

  • @mastercheif892 love you to

  • @mvollert04

    Helllllllllllllllll no!

  • yea that's really putting a bad image on CAP

  • CAP is awsome!!!!

  • TOO bad we can't use real rifles in Air Force JROTC, I'm Cadet Senoir Airman Daniel Smith, I'm in the Air Force JROTC program.

  • Love the mini-14! I have a few videos on the new Mini-14 with flash suppressor one my page.

    Cool video!

  • While the CAP is not allowed to carry weapons they are allowed to use them when with a certified range master.

  • Alright for everyone thats wondering CAP is not allowed to carry weapons except a weapon ranges, that is a mini m-14 and, CAP did drop bombs on German U-Boats during WW-2. Any more dumb questions?

    C\SSgt Wilhelm

  • I love how everyone thinks they know that its a different gun than the M14 Mini, when its my own damn weapon and I think I know what it is.

  • @river210 technicly, the product name is the Ruger Mini 14. But yes, it is an "M14 Mini" as a miniature version of the M14. Standard M14 fires a .308, instead of 5.56

  • @EliteAmericans That's were you are wrong, The mini fire's a .225 round, much much smaller than the bigger brother, the M-14. The M-14 was made for a socom squadron in vietnam, Thus for the size of the weapon, they upgraded from LMG round of the .225 to the 7.62 full metal jacket NATO round. **Own three M-14.-United States Marine Corps. :)**

  • @StonerInStyle yes that's what i was saying. He called this rifle the M14 mini -- It is a mini 14. The normal M14's fire the 7.62/308. These ruger mini' 14's fire the .223 & 5.56mm.

  • ih8suvz your an idiot the mini 14 is basically and old m16 it shoots the same round. its not fucking bb gun it shoots a 223 civil round or a 5.56 military round not a fucking bb gun

  • this is real life thats a game and u mean that ww2 german rifel? no thats not this lol

  • it is a mini-14, and quit using COD4 for that shit, are you 10, have you even hit puberty yet? didnt think so. Anyway nice vid, I used to be a CAP cadet until this last month, it was some of the most fun i ever had.

  • wow, r u serious with that

  • o yeah look on call of duty 4 lmao fagget

  • to the kid that thinks this is an MP-44:

You Sir, are a faggot retard. Your screen name indicates that you suck and the fact that you're using a video game as a reference makes you a dumb shit.

anyways I'm thinkin about buying one that uses .223 rounds since the ammunition is cheaper...is this thing easy to clean and handle?

  • yes,GoNavy95,they are easy to clean and handle, just not very accurate.you can expect maybe 2-3 inch groups at 100 yards.very fun rifle, though a little on the loud side.

  • The M-14 and STG-44 are WAYYYYYYY DIFFERENT!

  • @ToXiiCaRno you ARE a faggot retard. the mp44 is the same thing as an STG-44 used by the nazis in world war 2. you sir, are a no life asshole

  • Mini 14's look like a bb gun with 5 round mags. They look and feel so much better with 20 and 30 round mags.

  • that is not an m14 that is a mini 14, m14 is .308 and made by Springfield armory, on the other hand mini-14 is a .223 and is made by ruger

  • they also sell one model on imactguns that comes in 7.62 if im not mistaken....

  • yeah the mini30 comes in 7.62x39 aka the "ak47" round

  • yeah cuz the boy scouts droped nades on subs in WW2. GET YOUR SHIT RIGHT AND DO SUM RESEARCH

  • Basically, CAP is like the boy scouts in fatigues.

  • hell no

  • who let u shoot that...? man i hope cap didnt well i have a mini 14 as well but only difference is that i got these kick ass tapco "mods"

  • CAP uses rifles? I thought they had 12 year olds in there.

  • We don't carry any form of weaponry by regulation, however that's not to stop the military from supervising some range time during encampments and some other special events however. Hop that helped answer your question.

    C/AMN Barton

  • We don't use guns.

  • You're about a month late =|

  • You think they might make an exception during war time or civil unrest? CAP DID start out dropping bombs on U-boats after all...

  • Nope. We got plenty of actual reserve guys to do that. Besides, most cap cadets probably can't even tell you how to safely use a firearm let alone use one. Also, what would a 12 y/o be doing with a gun in CAP anyway? Shooting people? If we were that desperate, there'd be bigger problems

  • Well, not 12 y/o cadets, but maybe senior members. I just keep thinking of when looters in New Orleans shot at Army helos when they came to bring in supplies.

Myabe pepper spray would be just as good....just a thought...

  • We do not use guns in the ALB New York Wing only at the range.

  • my encampment went to ISMT not as fun as the real thing but the Marines were awesome kept hearing SSgt shout kill

  • Nice rifle, but you were jerking the trigger.

  • Wut encampment did u go to. Haku92292?

  • Haha... what does this have to do with CAP! BTW i have the exact same Mini 14 and the 30rd magazine is alot more fun for rapid fire!

  • Lucky bastard. Which wing are you part of. At my tri-wing encampment (MD, DE, and NATCAP) encampment we got stuck with simulators,

  • That sucks, at my encampment we got to shoot

    M16A4's, and some pistols.
