Ian Gillan still had his full voice at the time of this recording. The incessant touring had not reduced its overall power yet. Clear and forceful, man he had mad pipes! Still does, just not as fresh...of course, no one else can escape father time. The Mark II lineup was untouchable. They were the biggest band in the world in the early 70's. Rightfully so IMO.
