@IKEELYOUNOW The requirements were not the same. Originally only the French wanted a ground attack aircraft. The British originally wanted a supersonic trainer. With the Hawk able to meet all training requirements the British changed their order to a ground attack version similar to the French version. The French controlled the airframe design and the British the engine design. Major electronic components were sourced from the home country. With over 2000 Mirages built they don't do badly.
The Raf should have used these planes like the USAF use the A10

@TheFlyingPineapple i have found out why...i has a low pressure wheel so as it can land and take off from all types of terrain!!!

small engine good for private jet refit. Northrop F-5 engine and SEPECAT Jaguar engine is small good cruise missile.

I partially agree with you. In the RAF : Jag-U-ar but in Armée de l'Air they say : JagWar.
Question : Does a Jaguar using a motorway has to pay a toll ?
