Charlie, my all time, long time favorite friend and entertainer will be missed. This is a great video showing the real Charlie and his true to country talent and honest personality. Charlie, now you can get back to those duets with your older brother Ira and the two of you can continue to sing praises to our Lord and Father. Bless you.
I understand what they are trying to do here but we, as a society, should be more concerned with peace than swords, shields and atomic power. This sort of thinking is what has got us into the trouble we are currently in. I believe in God. I do not trust people very much though.
I'm so sad of the death of Charlie's brother Ira. Record producers said at the time Elvis came in to being that the mandolin was outdated. Ira took it so hard, and he died.
I'll have y'all know the mandolin is not dead.
I play it myself
Bluegrass is making a big resurgance many rock stars have come our way to country and bluegrass.
Kid Rock performing with Jerry Lee Lewis is a prime example
How wonderful to see good ol' Charlie Louvin still singin'! He hasn't lost his touch in years. Í gotta be honest though that I don't know Blanche. But it surely sounds 'old school'! Like country should be!!
Watching these old studs of american music makes it obvious the lows todays music has sunk to. Todays artist are nothing more than a packaged AMERICAN IDOL product. No talent needed, just tight pants & a pretty face. Christ it's sad!
Wow! Thanks for this vid. To see Charlie Louvan still singing and getting the respect he deserves from younger musicians is wonderful. Blanche are great. Their "little Amber Bottles" recording from 2007 is terrific.
Great Singer, and Great Person, no one "Fill His Shoes" ! The Opry, now has a Void.

Nice pairing of Detroit rootsyish band Blanche & Charlie Louvin, who sounds real good here for someone in his ninth decade. Classic song.
