Psychiatric disorders are not medical diseases. There are no lab tests,MRIs brain scans, X-rays or chemical imbalance tests that can verify any mental disorder is a physical condition. This is not to say that people do not get depressed, or that people can’t experience emotional or mental duress, but psychiatry has repackaged these emotions and behaviors as “disease” in order to sell drugs.
I can relate to everything you said. I also have bipolar disorder and it's devastating, I feel like my soul aches when I'm depressed. I know it's hard. But I like the last thing your wrote..."don't give up." That's what I must tell myself everyday in the mirror to get through the day.
I think the song "a manic depressive named laughing boy" would have worked. It's by modest mouse. The frontman of Modest Mouse's name is Isaac. Isaac means "Laughing boy in hebrew". and the song's basically about his struggle with MD s a kid, and how it felt.
