  • Uninformed people should not post about cattle or any other meat production.Beef and other livestock do not get pumped full of hormones. Why then are the costs of supposedly organic meat so much more expensive than the meat that has been raised safely by other good farmers around the united states.Mainly due to popularity. Farmers in the US get a bad rap but if they didn't meet requirements they could not sell meat to the local stores. Taste tests have also proved you cannot tell the difference.

  • Organic beef is better. I hate that mass produced shit they feed us.

  • its like how american whites criticize thailanders for prostitution but american is full of porn, go-go dances, nude cheerleaders, premarital sex...lol.

  • i have no problems with all you whites killing and eating cows...what i have a problem is when you insult the chinese and koreans etc for their way of lifestyle (dog meat, cat meat etc). there is really no difference between killing a dog or a cow. You brainwashed morons who insult vegans should realize that.

it makes me laugh when i see the show 'whale wars'...a bunch of meat-eating white fat hypocrites pick on japanese for killing whales lol lol lol...dimwits

  • @freebird20002012 It has been documented that some asian cultures perposely cause suffering to cats and dogs to creat a rush of endorfins. They believe it makes the meat taste better. I think we can all agree that causing unnecessary suffering to any animal is wrong, especially just to please the palate. We should all go back to small scale stress free farming.

  • Those animals seem so happy. Makes me remember why I'll never be vegetarian.

  • I'd love to make a nice juicy cheese burger out of these cows mmm mmm

  • @iMhike

doggie burger >>>> cow burger. i tried it in china....high protein less fat than cow...you should try it! yummmm

  • **** These people are true EcoCowboys! Visit us at wwwecocowboyscom ****

  • these guys are frickin' geniuses !!! YAY !!!

  • One word: AWESOME! I love it!!!

  • Some of his "facts" are debatable! Those calves do not look good and if finished on grass alone wouldn't be top beef. I do not like this breed.

  • I think this is Wonderful ! ! ! You are Raising Cows the Way God Want Us To Raise Them.Eating Non Chemical Fertilized Grass. We need ALL our Farmers to Raise Animals Organically in their environment, instead of the way most are producing them today! I Appreciate Your Effort ! The More Farmers that Follow,The More People Will Be Able To Afford To Buy Healthy Meat.Thank You Very Much ! May God Bless You +In Order To Be Healthy,We Must Eat Healthyly.JESUS LOVES YOU ALL+ + + MildredEP

  • Is the anyway to get more information about this?

  • typical white people..hypocrites...they cry for animal rights in china and then eat steak/burgers/fried chicken/pepperoni. they try to 'missionize' the world with 'christian' values and then get drunk and have sex with multiple sex partners outside of marriage (dating/fornication or adultery).

  • @lavakava

    wee said brah!

  • Those fields are N deficient, you can see the urine spots, marked by lush grass growth.

Fish fertilizer is a good fertilizer supplement, but doesn't contain enough N to be used as a sole fertilizer. It does have many micro-nutrients that ammonium nitrate doesn't have, but its sole use will not bring a pasture to its maximum forage production.

  • Will we have to wait ten yrs to get this beef in our local supermarkets like Publix here in miami? Please don't make this exclusive to the elite, offer it to all, so we can all be healthy.

  • @livinglightj while they are still in such short supply, the beef becomes more precious, and expensive. As more grass-fed cattle farms appear on the scene, producing more cattle, the prices will continue to fall. You must have the support of wealthy people to make stuff like this happen. Consider getting family and friends together to buy shares in a whole cow (you'll need freezer space!)

  • A local farm north of me raises Angus grass fed beef. It's delicious. I would love to try out some of this Senepol beef.

  • Good video. It must be difficult to make it with so few animals going to market. They definately need more land to really get started.

  • Well obviously the way that the land prices are as well as machinery, fuel, fertilizer etc. costs are way up. Then look at the cattle prices: way down.

The only way to make money in this business is to have off-farm income or another enterprise alongside the beef one.

  • There are a lot of these smaller operations (like in the video) around these days and most struggle because they are trying to buy the land with monies earned from the operation. In these situations they almost have to have other revenue streams to support such an undertaking or they run the risk of bankruptcy every time the beef prices drop. A ranch used to be able to support itself if run properly, including payments for land. Nowadays it's a rarity.

  • You got that right. The only way to make money solely off of cattle is to have a 500+++ cow-calf spread. Even then that's asking for a lot.

  • @MyRanchMyRules

you are so right, and not just in the USA. I am a beef farmer in Australia, and bought my land to run my herd on. The only way I can afford it is to work off farm. Luckily I found something that is a 2 week on, 2 week off employment for the whole year, but I have to live away for the 2 weeks on. Small sacfifice to pay off my farm quickly.

  • If they substituted "grass fed dairy cows" for "grass fed beef",these farms could cater to the vegetarians, too.I've seen "grass fed milk" in some health food stores.

  • it is very difficult to raise dairy cattle solely on grass and hay. genetics have been geared towards more production and corn based diet and these animals don't respond well to grass only. small cows that don't produce as much is the best option for this system

  • baellot ur an idiot. in nature the animals would live a lot shorter they would be eaten by predators. or get sick or injured and die a slow painful death. on the farm they live just like in nature except better cuz theyre protected and cared for when sick. stop spreading vegan propaganda

  • cows arent ment to eat

  • Of course they are meant to eat.

  • Why do videos on good farming practices have to be run down by vegan idiots? They should stick to their own selective videos that only portray a very small percentage of farmers.

  • see these moronic vegans say theyre against animal suffering but theyre really not. they run down any attempts for humane farming. theyre only promoting their vegan religion

  • @cattlewrangler Im a Vegan, I have cattle on my land, If you choose to eat meat that's fine I dont have a problem with it. Its the Industrial farms that pump cattle full of hormones and chemicals and let them live in there own feces. Also Plant based agriculture would not destroy the land, I planted Teff last year and it helped me save acres from flooding! If cattle eat all the grass, it would have washed it away fore sure!

  • Grass fed beef is kind to animals. Quote "Ranchers" split families up to go to different fields, or to slaughter. That doesn't happen if you want to preach about farming at least get your facts right otherwise keep your PETA baloney to yourself.

  • Oh... I'm sorry... You don't send animals to slaughter? Sometimes the mother goes because she is "finished" - but son/daughter are still growing? These are herd animals - who have distinct family units... as important and strong a bond as humans have. We do not need meat to thrive. Using the land to feed cows instead of people is a waste of resources - Feed 10 times more people on a plant based diet. End world hunger. Go Vegan.

  • Why don't you stick with your vegan friends and stop bringing your save the animals bullshit here?

  • Because your whole culture is based on violence that unfortunately infiltrates my world too. As well as the cow poop - as well as attributing to global hunger. It's the 21st century - time to get out of the cave - time to evolve. go Vegan.

  • You Make me SICK Eating the Poor Veggies!! HOW COULD YOU !!! grow up eat meat

  • @urbanmuscle21

seriously, Fuck cows, I fucking hate them. I want to slit their shitty gay throats. Anyone who likes cows R fag. I am a badass, and have lots of guns + Camaro.

Fucking gay fag vegan fags. real men eat meat from dead fucking animals.

what kind of fucking faggot sets up a logically consistent ethical system based on preferences of sentient beings? stupid fucking fags.

  • @ballersack

you will be a real man only when u start eating your dog or cat. until then, stfu!!!

  • @urbanmuscle21

exactly! cut a portion of yourself and eat it!!!

  • vegan doesn't necessarily mean healthy. it's about having quality healthy meat for us omnivores, not whether the mom gets separated or not, they're all going to die eventually.

  • You really don't understand all this cattle management do you?? Like I said to the other vid, you just can't seem to see past the end of your nose. There are many reasons why the cow has to get sold while leaving the young on the farm. You are partly right about the family bond. The way herds are managed depends on the manager. Those that you say are doing "wrong" are most likely doing right.

  • Now as for using land for your veggies instead of for animals, have you ever thought of WHERE your vegetables come from, the topography, and soil types that exist that help the crops grow? A lot of land that cannot be used for crops nor veggies is used for grazing livestock. Other land is for natural reserves. Crops take up a lot of labour, fuel, fertilizer, and often mine the soil of its nutrients that would otherwise be replenished with grazing livestock. Think about that.

  • wow! ur such a hick.. come to mt. and see how its really done.

  • What's being a "hick" about what I said? That's how it's done here in Alberta, though there are different methods with each different area. Besides, AB is a much larger province than the state of MT, with more topographical differences than where you live. Besides, the way it's done in MT is probably very silimar to what's done here in prime Canadian cattle country.

  • great farm!

  • Hope you have the best success possible, sounds really good to me. Will's mom

  • nice!

  • congats on the progress.....great film
