mathcore means you need a firm understanding of calculus/geometry/trig to grasp the time signatures and changes within the song lol. converge. dillinger. botch. these guys and all the people that rip them off are mathcore. not to be confused with tech. or brutech.
yea i agree with kileon on the mathcore definition, it also tends to feature technical guitars. whereas hardcore would just be "chug chug chug, pinch harmonic" but yea, this song is sex, no dancing around it.
the acutal definition would probly be changing time signatures a lot, but a lot of hardcore bands just go from like, chill sounding rite into a breakdown or something
