@Forensic85 what's very impressive about the guitar solo you spoke of is that it is so very simple but cuts right to your heart. As an old art teacher once told me, and opened my eyes was,,,,,,"don't confuse "art" with "technical proficiency"...it is not the same. In other words.....you can have someone like eric clapton play 20 notes per second but it does nothing for you emotionally......yet such a simple riff like this one can open your heart and fill you with emotion

Duran Duran got a bad rap during the height of their popularity in the early / mid '80's. Seems like all the focus was on turmoil within the band, was Nick Rhodes gay or not. Then we got 'Arcadia' and, to a certain degree 'Power Station' (Andy Taylor of Duran Duran w/ Robert Palmer and others.) When the dust had settled, Duran Duran came back w/ this; proving how talented they really were and allowing their earlier work to be re examined objectively w/ out the tabloid clutter. Great band.

I remember when this song came out....loved it. I actually just got done watching "empire strikes back" for the first time (I was 10), loved that as well. Then we went into the "play room" and this song was on and it actually fit well with Luke Skywalker's journey in that movie. ........wow, that sounded really geeky, but that is what I remember when listening to this song. haha.

Music is such a powerful thing for everybody. Reguardless of what type you like. I love songs with alot of heart and soul. Some people just hear the music, they don't feel it. A great song takes you away from all the pressures and stress of life for a minute or two and makes you think , "man, life is good. I'm glad to be alive!!!!
