Originally telecast on April 27, 1953 [B.F. Goodrich was the series' alternate sponsor- Carnation was their "primary" one]. This was the first season the show appeared every week, on film...although it was photographed without a live audience in attendance, because George figured Gracie would be more relaxed, and the production schedule would be faster. The episodes WERE shown to a live audience after they were filmed, and their reactions were added to the soundtrack.
