  • ROY HAYNES ROY HAYNES ROY HAYNES............ this is the killllinnnest drum clinic EVER!!!!! his solo on 17 west from this album is the SH*********

  • idk why but I think I like this record more than "Out To Lunch"

  • @KevinHeaven9: Probably for the same reason that I do: it's more accessible--more melodic, more structure to hold on to. Out To Lunch is completely Free Jazz.

  • @aarfeld

Well, "Out to Lunch!" still has chord structures, but its rhythms created by Tony Williams are very advanced and unconventional. I love both of them.

  • This record KILLS me.

  • Don't forget the author of that great bass line....George was well liked and played with...everyone...loved this,,,,thanks

  • Thanks Big!

  • Does anybody know why "Out There" and "Far Cry" are the same tune?

  • A super duper record

  • Dolphy and Carter are beasts on this cut. If you don't dig this, then you're not alive!

  • Hey! thanks for this great cut - and incidentally, one of Ron Carter's best solos ever. Dolphy was a GENIUS! He will always be an inspiration to truly creative artists everywhere...
