@TheDelphineus. I conceed that point of that the puffiness of thier garment is probably for ceremonial reinactments. While reviewing the video again, a thought struck me, the dance movements could have been actual combat movements. Could the dance been a way for warriors learning combat movements. Like when they are on one knee with thier long staff crossed with thier short one. Could that have been a defensive movement from an overhead strike from an opponent ?
@maui3939 If you mean A man who is graceful, strong, respects his culture and can move his hips like that....then Hell Yeah!!!! Thats what we all want!!
they were the!!!! how would you say it! the entertainer for laughter fun enjoyment and such! there were gays bakk den.. thats why today the mahuz are the best kine of people you wanna hang wit... the bestest...always know how to make everyone smile and have fun...sorry bout it you had a rough lyph growing up!
@byebyebirdy1000 A'ole pilikia iō oe! Just wazz sayn theres no arguementive in that! e kala mai if it came out the wrong..But thats straight up answers..koʻu a Kupaianaha Lā!!
I just wonder, the clothing these warriors are wearing. The reason that it looks so puffed out is because the great wrap they wore in that period had to to be drawn up about the hips and belly to get it out of the way for combat, sorta like a Roman soldier who "Gird his loins" prior to combat to get his tunic out of the way.
@olddocman Think the exagerrated puffiness is more ceremonial than functional. Doubt they wore anything like that into actual combat...more likely it was much simpler.
my cousins in this hālau but even them looking back on this saw that there was mistakes...but i saw that they were a bit off on the ūweheʻs ahaha...oh wellz i love em..they are always good ..give pride to waiʻanae :) 96792 represent haah <3
