@leopsie OMG!your hair routine is so much near to iandian hair routine...........i m an indian and i use a lot of coconut oil on my hair! And 40% of the indian girls dont use conditioner on their hair and use coconut oil! In india you find coconut oil almost everywhere!
omg coconut oil? in my country that has a horrible smell... i guess theres no horrible smell in that product? im in france now, i wonder if i could get it here...for 6 euros ^.^
@ati8asoniato88 If you have any Indian grocery shops, or speciality cooking shops, you might find it there. It is used in cooking a lot and the cooking sort is the same sort you use on your hair.
there's so many moments where I think you look like Mr. Bean xD not being mean...just something I thought! haha sorry if I offended you...I don't mean to be mean at all!
errmm question: After putting the oil on your hair at night do u wash it in the morning???and when you put it on in the morning do you just leave it on for the whole day??????
@jasmine200895 You can use it in different ways. I use coconut too - I apply a TINY amount after washing on my length from the ears down - only a few "drops" so my hair looks shiny and not greasy. I will put a little more on my ends only if they feel dry between washes. I don't wash it out then.
However sometimes I will put lots more in my hair. This is always as a deep treatment a few hours before a wash. I always wash it out if I put lots in.
i have a question.. when you wash your hair you do it at day or night??? because sometimes i don't have time to do it in the morning, but i know that is kinda bad for the hair do it at night.. well.. please, someone answer! :))
you are absolutely beautiful and fantastic. i adore you. you are gorgeous and funny and just a wonderful person to watch on this site. i admire you so much.
i have very very thin layered hair, and its medium length. when i use oils it looks disgustingly greasy. i wash my hair everyday because if not my hair feels gross and i feel gross, how can you not wash it? i admire that too. i hate washing my hair everyday. ive skipped a day before for a few weeks and my hair doesn't cooperate. :/
You wouldn't happen to know of a good all natural shampoo thats gluten free and vegan? I really want an all natural organic shampoo, but everyone has wheat germ in it or honey. Or do you possibly know how to make your own natural shampoo?
I loooove your hair in this video.. my hair is really layered and thick. but it waves like yours.. i love your bangs too. mine are usually like that but they grow sooo fast. and i dont like going to the salon to get them cut because they always take two or so inches off my ends to.. do you have suggestions as to how to cut side bangs myself?
here in India females use coconut oil all the time.....there are hundreds of brand selling them.....there is a method of preparing coconut oil with herbs.....u like boil various herbs with it.....people here apply it all over the hair before washing and ur hair becomes super soft even with out use of conditioner after washing with shampoo ........ if u want a heavier oil.....olive oil is awesome.
@lemonpiehaslemon even i suffer frm oily hair.....its like if u wash it too often u r stripping u hair of the oil ...and it starts producing more oil and then u wash it and then there is more oil....it becomes this cycle....so i will suggest u start putting small gaps and allow ur hair to adjust to it then increase the gap slowly.....i did that and it works for me......and btw ur own scalp oil is the best conditioner for ur hair.....so when ur hair gets oily u should like try to comb it through.
i usually wash my hair everyday but i decided to skip one day without getting my hair wet and within an hour it got greasy. :( if i skip more often will my hair become less greasy when i do or will it stay the same? should i continue at all? thnx! :-)
I have a question about the coconut oil. How much do you apply, and where on your head do you apply it? Do you use it when your hair is wet, or when it's dry?
Your hair is beautiful and your videos are great. I am trying to grow my hair out. It is about shoulder length now. I appreciate your tips. I do have a question: how often do you use heat on your hair? Ie, a blow dryer, flat iron, curling iron? I use it a lot during the school year but not much during the summer. I know my hair is healthier without it, but sometimes it's hard not to use them. How often do you suggest using heating products?
@theodorahermes I use heat about twice a year, and that's usually blowdrying in an emergency situation =P Sometimes only once, sometimes not at all. I used to curl once a year on a special occasion but I don't do that anymore since I use the sock curling =) I recommend reducing the usage of heat to a minimum, it's really bad for your hair. But ofcourse, hair is there to have fun with so if you want to use heat products go ahead ;)
Hi! I have a quick question. Do you put the coconut oil in your hair before or after you wash it? Also, do you sleep with your hair wet or do you wait for it to dry first? Thank you for all you awesome tips by the way! And you have really great hair too! :D
you say that you braid your hair and sleep with it wet.. is that how you get it all nice and wavy? when I braid my wet hair, I wake up and its frizzy and looks like its been crimped :-/
you know, since I saw your other video I started washing my hair every other day, and stopped usin heat, and my hair got worst than ever so I went back to my usual and my hair is GREAT!!
iits because ur straightner has creamic plates that make ur hair look healthy shiny and smooth to see how damaged ur hair really is take a shower and let it airdry without any products
You must have the healthiest long hair there is. Living a life without heat objects ^__^ You are a really different guru. I mean, I like other gurus, but who has time to straighten AND blowdry your hair every morning before school? I take a shower at night. Plus, they wear tons of makeup. hi! I love your videos, they are so helpful! I am growing my hair and plan to not cut it (except for trims) for the next two years. ANY secrets and tips for growing hair (particularly out of a layered cut) would be incredibly appreciated.
I want something for my hair, which i can apply when its dry, and gives a wet look, which i can be able to move as well, bit to make it hard as gel does. HELP !!!
burt's bees! burt's bees burt's bees burt's bees! i use their pomegranate and soy shampoo and conditioner, and it works fabulously; it made my hair VERY shiny (which is hard for blonde hair) and it cleaned just as well as a chemical shampoo AND it smells heavenly, everyone will be telling you how good you smell :)
I use this shampoo and i love it. I have very long hair. I changed shampoos to Herbal Essence and it was horrible! The Elvive conditioner really makes my hair smooth and glossy. I have fine hair that gets greasy quickly, so a lot of products are too heavy for my hair.
Since it's oil you have to apply it on dry hair and you can't rinse it out, not without shampoo. I just leave it in until the next wash. Be careful not to apply it at your roots, it wil make your hair really greasy.
I don't really have that problem, but when my hair is frizzy I just put some coconut oil in. I never straigthen my hair, if it's frizzy and messy I'll just have to endure it =P
awesome video! as soon as I saw this I ran out to go buy some coconut oil haha. It's been working so well! I've been using baby shampoo now too because it's less drying. My hair is sooo moisturized! I wash my hair every other day too! I hate when people think that's dirty. I previously got a terrible hair cut, then I got a perm to try to fix it, and my hairs been so damaged ever since. But now that I'm using coconut oil its sooo smooth. Thanks for mentioning it!
I apply coconut oil on my ends after my shampoo to seal in moisture and stop frizz. Its great stuff it has the molecular structure to penetrate the ENTIRE hair shaft so it protects your hair as well.
Are you originally Indian/Pakistani? Your accent made me think so & also your beauty seems to be an Indian beauty :) & Indian women are known for their beautiful hair too ;)
Yes I tried that too, but my hair was falling out on the other side =( Plus, I sleep on my side so a braid in the middle is better for me =) but thank you ^-^
thanks for mentioning coconut oil! I found some at a Organic grocery store and it works wonders. :)
Its use for cooking but you can use it for you're hair and skin. It's like a solid that melts like you're and cost like $9 :) and as for the split end cutting I already do that but at least I know I'm not the only one now lol
I can't believe u paid 6 euros for coconut oil. They carry it in(the big ones, not always the small ones) supermarkets next to the olive oil for .99-2 euros at the most and sometimes the vendors at the beach have it
Not in the Netherlands =( I tried about five different supermarkets and none of them had it... The shop I got this jar had the big ones too, but they were 10 euros (!!). But I think 6 is a fair price for the results =) Definately better than the 25 euro chemical products. You're lucky you can get it so cheap! xD
I only put it in my ends, it would leave my hair greasy if I'd put it all over, yes. I also have to be careful that I don't put in too much, sometimes I overdo it but that makes my hair look greasy too =P
where r u from??

van waar heb je die kokosnootolie?
Isabellie12 2 years ago
burt's bees! burt's bees burt's bees burt's bees! i use their pomegranate and soy shampoo and conditioner, and it works fabulously; it made my hair VERY shiny (which is hard for blonde hair) and it cleaned just as well as a chemical shampoo AND it smells heavenly, everyone will be telling you how good you smell :)

I use this shampoo and i love it. I have very long hair. I changed shampoos to Herbal Essence and it was horrible! The Elvive conditioner really makes my hair smooth and glossy. I have fine hair that gets greasy quickly, so a lot of products are too heavy for my hair.

thanks so much for this video! I'm going to try coconut oil.
k1nky1nhels1nk1 2 years ago
Since it's oil you have to apply it on dry hair and you can't rinse it out, not without shampoo. I just leave it in until the next wash. Be careful not to apply it at your roots, it wil make your hair really greasy.

I don't really have that problem, but when my hair is frizzy I just put some coconut oil in. I never straigthen my hair, if it's frizzy and messy I'll just have to endure it =P

teddybearslayer 2 years ago

maudk123 2 years ago

do you put the cocanut oil all over your head, or just the top part of your head or the bottom ends?
dangximtight 2 years ago
Just on the ends, if you put it at your roots it's going to make your hair super oily

awesome video! as soon as I saw this I ran out to go buy some coconut oil haha.

Your hair is absolutely beautiful! I just cut my hair to a bob and it looks awful if I let it air-dry and don't apply heat. Any ideas?
ksmile29 3 years ago
I apply coconut oil on my ends after my shampoo to seal in moisture and stop frizz. Its great stuff it has the molecular structure to penetrate the ENTIRE hair shaft so it protects your hair as well.

Are you originally Indian/Pakistani? Your accent made me think so & also your beauty seems to be an Indian beauty :) & Indian women are known for their beautiful hair too ;)

Did you try braiding your hair to the side and around your neck. That way may not be as bad on your back and neck.
dmpaxton 3 years ago
Yes I tried that too, but my hair was falling out on the other side =( Plus, I sleep on my side so a braid in the middle is better for me =) but thank you ^-^

thanks for mentioning coconut oil! I found some at a Organic grocery store and it works wonders. :)
Its use for cooking but you can use it for you're hair and skin. It's like a solid that melts like you're and cost like $9 :) and as for the split end cutting I already do that but at least I know I'm not the only one now lol

I can't believe u paid 6 euros for coconut oil. They carry it in(the big ones, not always the small ones) supermarkets next to the olive oil for .99-2 euros at the most and sometimes the vendors at the beach have it
apryll11 3 years ago
Not in the Netherlands =( I tried about five different supermarkets and none of them had it... The shop I got this jar had the big ones too, but they were 10 euros (!!). But I think 6 is a fair price for the results =) Definately better than the 25 euro chemical products. You're lucky you can get it so cheap! xD

so do you only put coconut oil on the tips or all over your hair? doesn´t it leave it like oily if you put it all over when your hair is dry??
69diamonds69 3 years ago
I only put it in my ends, it would leave my hair greasy if I'd put it all over, yes. I also have to be careful that I don't put in too much, sometimes I overdo it but that makes my hair look greasy too =P
Loepsie 3 years ago
Yes it is, I'm probably going to try that after I run out of coconut oil =)

do you take like vitamins or something to make it grow faster? How much does your hair grow a month?
ComeBackToTheSea 3 years ago
I don't take any vitamins or anything, I just try to eat healthy =) My hair doesn't grow very fast, about one cm every month I guess
