  • Never once did Christ say that He would instruct an exclusive group of people to bring news or prophecies. By sheer investigation of the word of God delivered in the original-language texts we can reveal demon's doctrines. Christ said that He will be with them always, and He is with US always through the Holy Spirit that dwell in every newborn believer, born by water and spirit (baptism and Holy Spirit) Without being born again you can neither see or come to the Kingdom of God.

  • 14:5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?” 6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you really know me, you will know[b] my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”

I will bet my soul on these words from our Lord Jesus Christ. And for those who don't, I pray that Jesus will forgive them regardless of their beliefs.

  • @tommotian, their bible. All I learned was hypocrisy. I've never learned the truth with them at all. Most of the people today claim to be Christian, yet they don't know anything about the bible, they keep doing things that condemns by God. That is all I have to say, as far as Christendom teachings. We (JW's) have the truth because we try to apply our lives through God's principles. We try to obey and follow Christ footsteps, no doubt about that. We(JWs) remain in Christ's teachings, not men.

  • @tommotian, and so on and on.... stuff likes these you need to ask yourselves. Its important to define who really are the faithful and discreet slave (Matt 24:45). Without the Watchtower Society's help, a lot of us(JW's) like myself were probably still in the darkness. We wouldn't know the truth, we wouldn't know what the bible really teach. I used to be A Roman Catholic myself but not even once learned anything about the bible, bec. this church does not encourage the member to examine and read

  • The Catholic Church teachings are not all based in the bible, all their beliefs mixed with pagan traditions and greek philosophers, trinity that never once mentioned in the bible etc... That is why, Jesus said in Matt 15:9. Your religion, are all the members in it are in harmony with Jesus conduct? Do they observe and follow Christ teachings? Are they even trying their very best to really repent with their immoral practices, etc. eventhough, they know its wrong? Do they support war efforts?

  • @tommotian, my question to you was who are the groups that fullfilll the command by Jesus in Matt.24:14? Most of the religions/churches today eliminated the divine name of God when they should make God's name know to the men as Jesus said in (Read John 17:6). The Jehovah's Witnesses made that happened. As far as the Watchtower goes, they made sure that the good news of the kingdom must be preached first before the end comes, they helps us understand what the bible really teach.

  • Btw, the watchtower do not order us what to believe, we individual(JW's) read and examine the scriptures itself each day/night as well and the Watchtower Society teaches/beliefs were all based on the scriptures. I agree on what u say that most people do not do the things that God's condemn but do they know what God's will is? what is God's kingdom will bring to us? Do they take knowledge of God and his son Jesus? (John 17:3)? Do they know and sanctify the divine name of God (Jehovah or YHWH)?

  • @raqyrose

Yes, I know of Catholics who through Bible study do what you say, about God's kingdom, knowledge, use the name YHWH and so on.

They are not puppets of the Church and this proves God does not bless Jehovah's Witnesses ONLY with knowledge in scripture - because the Bible is a book for all mankind, not for the Watchtower Society only!

"But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it", Eph 4:7.

It doesn't say the Watchtower Society is doing it.

  • @tommotion, the watchtower society r the one who gives spiritual foods to Jehovah's people, they help us understand the bible better, all the watchtower beliefs or says are all based in the bible. We (JWs) are the only group fulfilling the command by Jesus (Matt:24:14) because no other religion fulfilling these command. These good news of the kingdom has to be preach first to all the nations(Mark13:10) before the end comes. We(JWs) preached this good news. Individual person can't do dis alone.

  • @raqyrose

Why didn't you comment on blood 1 + 2 below, and "Do we have faith in God?"

    One subject at a time.

Yes, the Society give us some spiritual insight and help us gain a somewhat better understanding of the Bible.

But others do as well. You are not unique.

Matt 24:14 was fulfilled byt Catholic missionaries spreading Bibles and the Word in China long before Russel. Same for India.

From personal experience I say, What you also are preaching is submission to the GB instead of to Christ

  • @tommotian, also, how safe is blood transfusion? Did u also know that many people get diseases such as AIDS, Hepatitis etc..without knowing it and died because of blood transfusions? Jws have no religious objection to the use of nonblood plasma expanders. I am not sure if u heard of bloodless surgery that nearly all modern hopitals today are now performing. Jehovah God will always find a way to back us (his people) up.

  • @raqyrose

You are referring to conditions re AIDS, Hepatitis and blood transfusions as matters stood some 20 years ago. You are not current.

In Sweden last year at least 1000 definiely life-saving transfusions were performed, and then there were others where it is difficult to tell the outcome had they not been performed.

There is not ONE reported case of AIDS being transmitted, and only one case of Hepatitis.

    So, please stick to facts.

  • @tommotian, after the Flood of Noah's day God again set out one prohibition for mankind. This time it involved blood (Gen.9:3,4)'(3). So the real question is, Do we have faith in God? If we obey him, we have before us the prospect of eternal life in perfection under his kingdom. Even, if we die, he assures us of a resurrection.

  • @raqyrose

"Do we have faith in God?"

The prohibition in Gen 9:3,4 was about EATING blood and was a prophetic picture about Jesus' perfect sacrifice for mankind ... which is already a fact to have occurred.

God condemns child sacrifice. If you think otherwise you have no faith.

"they have built the high places ... in order to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire, a thing that I had not commanded and that had not come up into my heart." Jer 7:31 NWT.

    Then why would YOU?

  • @tommotian, There r many things that are rather common today and that JWs shun for example, lying, adultery, fornication, stealing, smoking, and as u mentioned, the use of blood? Why? Bec we govern our lives by God's word. Did u know that the bible says "abstain from blood?. Perhaps, u recall that God told our parents Adam and Eve, that they could eat from every tree in Eden except one but disobeyed God and lost everything. How unwise!

  • @raqyrose

All the things you mentioned, such as lying, adultery, fornication, stealing, smoking - do I have to be a JW to avoid them? No, my neighbours in the same house where I live avoid them.

My point is, You cannot let the Society order you in the Watchtower what to believe.

You HAVE TO do an independent study.

"Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life." John 5:24.

    WHOEVER!

  • @tommotian,I can understand ur point of view, I supposed u r imagining ur own child n dat situation. As parents we would do everything possible 2 safeguard our child's welfare, wouldn't we? So if folks like u & me were going 2 refused some sort of medical treatment 4 our child, der would certainly have 2 be some compelling reason for it. Do u think that some parents might be influenced by what God's word says here at Acts 15:28,29? So the ?s is, Do we have enough faith to do what God's commands?

  • @raqyrose blood [1]

There is no compelling medical or religious reason for not administering the treatment needed to your child. I very much doubt you as a woman would sacrifice the life of your child. Even God would not allow it - he stopped Abraham from offering Isaac!

Re Acts 15:28,29, this was a temporary measure in order for the Gentiles to not offend the Jews being preached to and who STILL held on to some of the Mosaic Law:

  • @raqyrose blood [2]

In Acts 15:20 we find the same temporary prohibition. BUT, we also see in verse 21 see why:

"For the law of Moses has been preached in every city from the earliest times and is read in the synagogues on every Sabbath.”!

Besides, the prohibition was about EATING, and Gentiles considered eating blood a delicacy, highly offending the Jews in view of Lev 17:10-14. Note verse 12 there,

"Therefore I say TO THE ISRAELITES" !

Do you see the connection to Acts 15?

  • Well,I'm just thinking there has always been a Governing body of some kind directing God's people sand sending letters to encourage the congregations in various places.

  • Amen Brother

  • this guy does not understand the bible at all. Fool.

  • dude you have no idea what you are talking about and i can't believe i wasted 20secs posting on this

  • Wow protect yourself from a couple non-armed peace loving people with a bible.Sir,with all due respect what truth do you offer people to have hope for the future.

None claim to be jesus himself from the Governing body just claim to be guided buy the Holy Spirit like all Christains should.

  • @Safireseven same grp of men who the Holy Spirit can't seem to help them get any of their teachings strait. why is that, why can't they get for example the generation teaching correct. JWs and the WT itself claim ALL the time that the holy spirit directs them on a daily baises, but can't seem guide the leadership on making the correct teachings to millions of witnesses. is Jehovah not loving and just? why would a perfect god embarrass his governing body ALL the time? maybe he's not with them

  • @Safireseven If all christians should be guided by the Holy Spirit, why do you need the GB?

  • If that's the case get on all religions because they all say they the mouth piece of GOD!

  • Sir you totally misconstrued what witnesses say when at peoples doors! You seem to have also put the wrong scriptures with their actions! When have you seen them do or give great signs? You don't see them laying hands on people that fall all over the place, you don't see them killing and dying in the name of GOD. ALL YOU SEE THEM DOING IS MATHEW 28 :19,20....So I say I will pray for you !

  • In regard to Matthew 28:19-20 the Jehovah's Witnesses have excluded the Holy Spirit from Jesus Christs Baptismal Commandment. The Unforgivable Sin! - Watch the Video series: Jehovah's Witnesses The Unforgivable Sin! (the transgression causing desolation)

  • @isaiah30v8 no matter what you said or pointed out in the bible, that scripture you just read was not referred to Jehovah's Witnesses. JW's follow what the bible teach and they follow the commandments of Jesus Christ. That scriptures you read is probably referred to your religion, whatever that is. Is ur religion okay to kill fellow men? I bet its okay huh? Jesus Christ himself said to love one another, to love your neighbor, thats why we dont kill our fellowmen.

  • @raqyrose

Instead, some of you kill your own sons or daughters by denying them a life-saving blood transfusion when there is no altenative to this.

There were several very upsetting cases in Canada in 2007, and more have followed throughout the world.

Christ said he wants mercy, not sacrifice.

"If you had known what these words mean, ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice,’ you would not have condemned the innocent."

You condemn the little ones, the innocent.

  • @raqyrose My quote was Matt 12:7.

  • @hersheykissis20

How is it that we do not see anything in the Bible about Cornelius leaving his service as a Roman officer? Why is it that we don't notice the Roman politician/governor Sergius Paulus ever leaving his high-ranking position?

There are cases where violence is unavoidable.

Would you have wanted a Nazi world?

With your attitude we would have had one now - AND WITH NO JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES IN IT!

  • @hersheykissis20 Christ said exclusively to His Apostles who had been with Him that the Holy Spirit will remind them what HE HAD SAID TO THEM, and TEACH THEM ALL THINGS. (John 14:26) He never once said that this would count for anyone else. This was exclusively for His Apostles, and now we have what they wrote down. The oldest Bibble is Codex Sinaiticus, 350 A.D. check that out - goggle it.

Anyone adding or changing Christ's words is guilty of blaspheme against the Holy Spirit.

  • My own interpretation of Matthew 24:23

Jesus appears to be speaking & warning about an individual person (just as Jesus was an individual), who, in the near future, appears on the world stage, says he is the Saviour /Christ.

Revelation 13:13, talks about fake miracles being performed in the sight of men, to convince and mislead them at the same time .

This has nothing to do with an organization like the WTBS - what kind of miracles have they performed lately? I'm not aware of any.

    L

  • Elijah was able to convice his opposers that the true God was with him when fire came from heaven and devoured the sacrifice..

The WTS has convinced 6 million + JW's that God is with them. Its a miracle! That the false prophet has had so much success. Its a wonder! Its a powerfull and unrighteous deception. See 2TH2:9

They have figuratively made fire come down from heaven.

    It is a miracle!

    A false one.

They ARE the false prophet mentioned in Matthew 24:23

    .

  • Nonsense. The false prophet, causing the miracles in Rev 13:13 is referred to as an individual man "He", who eventually gets thrown "ALIVE" into the lake of fire. It's obvious, that this person & the false Christ(s) has not arrived yet. Perhaps they will make their appearance after the financial system collapses, when most will be desperate and looking for a Saviour? We will have to agree to disagree. The future will answer all these questions for us.

    Observe Gods commandments. 1John 5:3

    L.

  • Please read Ephesian 2:18-13.

Look carefully for where it says; "One New Man".

Is it an individual or composite man?

Notice also that this "one new man" has the ability to enter the "Holy Place".

Yes, with full confidence in the scriptures I am happy to disagree with you.

    .

  • 2Thessalonians 2:4

    Is it an individual?

    L.

  • Answered in the video response to this one above.

The man of lawlessness is the same man mentioned in Ephesians 2:18-13.

It is the only "man" in the new testament who has access to the holy temple.

Yes, he has already been revealed!

    .

  • Comment removed

  • He's taking scripture out of context to twist the word of God into his own advantage. This is blasphemy! A very serious sin, lying against Jehovah!

  • So...................

You don't think Jesus Christ is communicating with the Governing Body of Jehovah Witnesses?

Try telling that to the Elders in your Kingdom Hall!

    .

  • listen everyone, this man is telling all of you, lies. the real false prophets is men & women like this man called cathlics. once you read mathew 24:23, turn to matthew 7:15,21-23 this is talking about men who make mislead people like this man, & all the preachers, bishops , all the way to the pope

  • I'll even go further that that, Matt 24:27 says, "for as the lightning comes from the east and *shines* as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.(This means that we will *see* him.)

Acts 1:9-11 says that we will *see* him come the same way that he went.

Vs.11. "Jesus...will come in just the same way as you *watched* Him go into the Heavens.

So, so much for -invisible- presence.

  • I was at bethel and to tell you the truth, the governing body members always acted like they were Jesus Christ themselves. Very haughty and always acting like the young brothers were lowly scum. They always had people practically waiting on them hand and foot, treating them like God's.

  • Living in shameless luxury?

  • Sounds like the Catholic Church.

    L.

  • Nuh uh, you just can't see the troof. Very humble cult leaders the goobering boobies are.

  • I think the conversation would be switched around if the verse in Matthew were quoted. They would suggest that scripture applies to Christendom and it's false representation of Christ.

I've had discussions with Watchtower apologists for a few years and the tables get moved around so often, that a persons head begins to spin. LOL
