This was a great series to watch for Zerg players at dealing with FFE. FFE into mass voids? Whatever. Stay calm, keep scouting, get your three bases, get your hydras, go kill the toss. FFE into DT harass? Whatever. Stay calm, keep scouting, get your three bases, get your detectors, go kill the toss. REALLY greedy nexus first? Stop what you're doing, build seven roaches, and go kill them, don't let them get away with something that greedy. Very solid decision making by KiLLeR here.

a 7 roach push can be very effective against a ffe player (as we just saw), but with proper cannon placement good control, you can hold. I he wouldn't have delayed his gateway he could have had a zealot and a stalker, and that with the cannon and maybe 8 or so probes would have held the aggresion.

This protoss player is not at the same level as the zerg player.

If you can't hold fast roach rush, then don't go forge fast expend,

the problem was the protoss player never had a single sentry out!

The protoss player probably is in Silver or Gold League?

He's a professional. And the reason for the FFE was because he was thinking that his opponent would try to macro up, and not rush him. Thinking in the pro leagues is much different than in the lower leagues, which I suspect you are in.

@jsisw9i9 You do realise that a 7 roach rush is nearly impossible to stop on any map, even tal dareem and shakuras, vs a 15 nexus, and even if you do stop it you will be behind a bit. MC in all his glory wouldn't have even been able to hold this, it was rock paper scissors. The protoss bet on a 15 hatch, and the Zerg bet on a FFE. Guess who won? You cant say the protoss player was bad, he was just cocky and how could sentries have stopped this? He had a concave on the nexus...
