@jspankin as much as she loves singing it's always been difficult/inconsistent for Mariah because she's had nodules for her whole career (strong/kinda shrill belt and breathy head voice). Coincidentally it was surgery to repair JA's nodules which went wrong and voila now she sounds like a man. Both tragedies

I think Julie Andrews' high notes are better than Mariah Carey's because she(Julie) does not sound like she is "going up" to hit high notes and does not loose her resonance on them.

BTW I only said anything b/c u said "only" MC can sing G5 that dramatically and melodically. But others can and higher too
