I got lucky since I. Live in So. Cali. Most of the fish stores near me are varied. Haciende Aquatics in La Puente is where I bought me pair and still alive.
@laceylingerie if you bought a young one it might be difficult since they are small, but gradually both sexes will grow to a certain size; usually the male being smaller than the female.
Another way you can tell is that the males top fin (not sure if its called the dorsal fin) is more "pointy" and protrudes upwards than the female. Anyway, i hope your cory does well and if possible maybe you can get a few more because they love to swim in packs!
Hi, I have 6 corys in my angel tank and they don't do nearly as much swimming around as yours do. I have 3 spotted corys and 3 Juli corys. Do you think that maybe I should get all in one kind? Or what do you think would make them swim around more? Because right now they mostly just sit in the corner of the tank. Please get back to me.
Looks like you also had a pregnant platy. O.o

@Pop12646Okami Good guess! It's actually a pregnant guppy since I only had cory's catfish and guppies at this point.

@jochan79 Ahh, I can never tell the difference between those. But beautiful tank! Do you have any of the babies from the brood?
Pop12646Okami 4 months ago
@Pop12646Okami yes I actually had a bunch until last year when they died do to a blackout for 5 days. Please check out my guppy invasion video!

@jochan79 Aw, sorry about your fish fry :( But I guess things like that just happen. I actually had about 17 platy fry and about five are still left.
But I'll make sure to check out the guppy video, and by the title of the video, I can tell there's going to be a lot! :P
