Thai Taxi, I agree with you, this is also my favorite of all the great songs by John D. Loudermilk ! I met his son a few years ago in Laughlin, NV when he was playing lead guitar for Crystal Gayle. Got to meet her too, what a beautiful lady !
Love this song of John's. Got to meet him for the first time in March 2010. Very nice guy. He was with George Hamilton IV. I told him I loved his writings as well as his own recordings of Blue Train and Language of Love. :-)
I heard this recently for the first time and immediately loved it. It never played in Australia to my knowledge, but what a great song. The more I hear of American early 60's music the more I realise we missed out on down here.
