These are so awesome. One question thoug? Ive heard that these are a friendly type of chiclid. Can I put them in my 65 gallon tank with zebra danios, glofisg, tetras, tiger bars, beon tetras. I will provide hiding spots for them, and nice sand they can "roll in"?? I will get 2 or 3 so they can keep company.???please tell me??
i dunno about putting them with neon tetra's.. I've mixed electric yellows with guppies... the yellows ate alot of the young but the adults themselves were fine.. they can easily go with most fish as long as you have a decent network of caves on the bottom to middle area of your tank... overcrowding tanks with these fish can lead to aggressive behaviour
I have them with a neon, they are still juveniles so they don't bother him yet, but they nipped my swordtails fins off, i don't think it is a good idea, cichlids should generally be in only Cichlid tanks.
umm actually they are nicer than most african cichlid but they might kill off your weaker fish + they like hard core water like 7.9-8.6 ph and im not sure if they could survive in weaker softer water
really so good (like)

how often do cichlids breed
rcjimenez81 2 years ago
depends on the species of cichlid some cichlids are 3-4 weeks in between spawn and some will go as soon as theyve shot out their babies

Yeallo labs are calm for mbunas but are in no way good for sommunity tanks. They should be kept with other cichlids.

@medallo41 lhey will live peacefully for a week or 2, but you'll notice some of your non cichlid fish start disappearing quickly.

can you keep these with 2 large plecos?

Some Mbuna have a habit to eat the eyes off of plecos, they would do better with kuhli Loaches
