Even Carter allowed coal & oil & gas to be used and developed during his administration. Yes he did look for alternative energy resources, but he didn't cut his nose off to spite his face. And break the back of industry by taking the only available energy to keep jobs flowing. Don't forget what Iran and the oil cartel did to the country back then. Loss of resources caused a huge amount of unemployment back then.With major long gas lines around stations.Stop this EPA insanity or loose again!

Anyone can see that this type system for energy is very small in percentages of output, compared to what our natural resources capabilities are. Well, then I'm afraid you don't know dick about the coal industry. In 2008, $550B was spent on coal and oil, with only $43B spent on renewable energies. Over $2 billion alone was spent on the Clean Coal Initiative, and the coal industry essentially told Congress to fuck off and closed their plants IN PROTEST, NOT due to the actual conditions of the market.

And let's not forget how much WV spends on coal.
