This "free education" is not equal. Poor schools get less funding and have more problems to deal with, like kids who need to eat so they can focus. Many poor kids have to go to work; less time to study. Pell grants do not cover all expenses. Been busted for pot one time, no pell grant for you. Privledge white kids are less likely to get busted, not less likey to do drugs. Until equal opportunity is more than a myth, something needs to be done.
