Did you hear Campbell this week at Leveson? Christ he's got a fucking short memory. Absolute fucking cunt. One of the most vile influences on our politics.
@MilibandDavid Get back to Tory HQ and give DC a good bumming. That is all you are good for. Constructive comments? Help me Lord, will I ever ever hear in my life hear a constructive comment from Cameron bumboys club in my life?
Don't think so somehow. Gilbert & George for you - stay in your London clubs and don't come out of them and fuck us on proper planet earth, for goodness sakes, copy paste and youtube search, ol' man,
“According to the cliché, Blair hired a manipulative bully, Alastair Campbell, who proceeded to break the rules of honest gvt. to the point where he had to be driven from office.
This deeply self-serving version of events fails to say anything the media’s own role. Political reporters are wholly complicit in assisting PR operatives like Campbell to have their way with them. Where is it written that reporters must take their stories from press officers?”
The bbc are a lot of bastards, and so is most of society is as well, this says a lot about the english anyway, they think their better than anybody else, another exaple of arrogance is when slutface emily madlas newsnight presenter interviewed George Galloway, and society is waking up to the fact that faschisim is still around us
You can bullshit your way throuh life Kill Musiloms, take peoples writes away not be convicted of war crimes, as long as your eng or american, This diss is pathetic
How this cunt campbill can have the ordasity to sit at these meetings is puzzling, , how to win an argument by alister campbill, its all about winning, and paxman is just sitting there passive, in awe of this person, well, well of course hes not there to take sides is he, but its very clear that paxman is a cunt as well,
Every time alex sammon comes on , you know the scotch mp, he always tries to debase him, and treates him with contempt, howevever this cunt campbill, acts with impunity
Campbell is the master of spin and he ducked the accusation by just saying sour grapes. Howard is no paragon of virtue but Campbell has a lot to answer for. You can see the disdain in his face at the accusation. Blair, Campbell and Mandelson make me sick.
Again, its funny how campbell, never actually answered the criticism, he just resorted to child like tantrums... "get over it"... Jeez how did this guy get into power?, Id be surprised if he could hold a job down in McDonanlds.. I can hear him now, "hey Mr, I got the wrong burger"....."GET OVER IT" lol
What Michael Howard says is true but he's only saying it because Campbell engineered the rejection of Michael Howard bid to become prime minister. I think he would have killed to have Campbell on his side if it would have given him the keys to number 10
micheal howard is a wanker, cameron is a wanker, This countrdo with Blair back as PM, and all these people that call him a war criminal, look at the ppl been killed under saddam before we ousted him, good riddence to saddam!
@safcjaf Tony Blair is backing David Cameron's cuts so begs the question what he'd do any differently now. He admits Labour should've cut back spending in 2006, if not before.
Alastair Campbell is a war criminal, so who cares what he thinks about anything? His role during Blair's illegal wars was the equivalent of those of Joseph Goebbels and Julius Streicher during Hitler's.
Alastair Campbell should be in jail for his crimes and hopefully will be one day.
@usainlightning No that was Mrs Thatcher and the adoption of Saatchi and Saatchi as part of her campaign to win, thats when spin was introduced others simply built on that
Campbell is a snake and so is Blair. They're a pair of lying dirty criminals. Just by the body language and the way they both talk it is safe to make the judgement that they are bothy slimey cowards.
Ironically, I think the two of them are quite similar - sinister, Machiavellian & totally amoral. However, I think Howard wins by a nose in the Dark side stakes...
Maybe G.Brown's mismanagement of the economy caused the collapse in America as well. Thet have no NHS, no benefits, no help, no jobseekers allowance, no 'scroungers'... and they also have a deficit due to the banks, as do half the countries in Europe. Ireland is on the brink of collapse, even Dubai's construction industry has hit the brakes. All these countries couldnt avoid this crisis... yet Brown was expected to???
The collapse in America spread throughout the world obviously, but some countries were hit harder than others. Brown completely emasculated the British economy by taxing it, and spending far more money than he had to spend. The budget deficit peaked at 12%. Economists distinguish between the cyclical and structural deficit. The structural deficit is 75% of the current deficit, which means growth won't automatically remove it. That is the result of Gordon 'I saved the world' Brown.
@VonMises1990 Our deficit is higher than G20 countries, but for a reason that Osborn has forgotton to mention. Our banking sector relative to the size of our economy is twice the size of other countries’ finance sectors, and bailing it out has cost more. The problem is nothing to do with spending but the banking collapse which has left a 112 billion shortfall in projected income. Im not saying there isnt a deficit. Im saying it should be the for the banks to bear the brunt of paying it back.
Indeed... but why bail it out at all? Why should bankers be the beneficiary of state socialism? I despise socialism in all forms, especially for stupid people who took gambles they shouldn't have done. With the banks roaring back to growth, their tax contributions have been restored, but the structural deficit is still there. I would tax the nationalised banks just for being stupid, but tax in general is a bad idea. Spending cuts are much more delicious
@VonMises1990 agreed bailouts are contrary to free market ideals but the financial sector generates a huge portion of UK GDP. We are dependant on it far too much. We have by far the largest banking Industry in Europe and if the government let any major bank collapse, consumer confidense would be ruined and it would destroy our economy. The mistake was encouraging lending and risk taking... not bailing them out.
@VonMises1990 maybe you think the cuts are delicious. You obviously are not about to lose your job like the million or so who are affected by the cuts. Policemen, nhs staff, firemen, and I thought they were cutting the 'waste'. I heard street lighting was next on the cuts as well. For a party who dont like benefits... they sure like putting more people on them. :-/
The public sector loses 500,000 per year through natural turnover. What is happening now is nothing out of the ordinary. And lets privatise loads of these 'front-line' services and let people and the market decide whether we want these jobs or not.
it means 1 in 5 tories have banking interests...head of banks, advisors, private hedge funds etc yes I did mention on my earlier comment some labour politicians have as well and they are no better... including Blair when he was in power... it borders on corruption to have ANY external interests while in power.
Meanwhile while jobs are being axed left right and center... and we are told there is no other way.... the banks are conviniently back making £billions profit
the wonderful thing is that the public have kicked Labour out.. and with luck and continuing wisdom they will not be back in power to have another go at wrecking this country for a good while yet ! hooray...
While the schools are falling to pieces in my area and we are told there is now no money to spare to fix them its nice to know that in George Osbournes plush Cheshire constituency the government has found enough money to build a new guesthouse/ hotel for the customers of the local exclusive golf club... Typical Tory self interest... Tory bankers caused the banking collapse... yet G.Brown gets the flack ... open your eyes people... Campbell is a legend... down with the Tory scum...
Yep you’re so right, I love the way (not!) that the Tories mention endlessly that the state of the economy is down to Labour’s financial mis-management
EVERYBODY knows that it was a GLOBAL collapse. It’s so obvious that their trying to manufacture a myth that can sustain them. Now that we’re in danger of going into a double dip recession, because they’ve cut too savagely too quickly, their pathetic peddling of this myth is going to sound very hollow.
The state of the economy is down to the bankers. Im guessing not many people realise that a massive percent of the Conservative party have vested interests in such banks. Brown saved the economy from total oblivion by bailing them out... at the time Cameron had absolutely nothing to say on the matter.. why? because he and his cronies did not know what to do. How can anyone attack labour for being slack on the banks when half the tories are 'banking advisors' and ex bankers
@3chel3 In 2008 Boris Johnson unveiled Bob Diamond (president of Barclays plc) as an adviser shortly before winning the mayoral election. Labour are at it as well but not perhaps on the same scale (Ruth Kelly springs to mind). It borders on corruption. How can we expect government to get tough on bankers when half of them make a mint from the banks. Its almost as bad as K.Clarke being paid millions working for a tobacco company whilst being minster for Health... talk about clash of interests
@oliviaLOVEShenry What a hypocrite?!! Howard, parasitic bloodsucker and all purpose pantomime villian. The man that Cameron had kept hidden along with all the other Tory undead nightmares (including Redwood & Tebbit) for fear of frightening the electorate, has the temerity to complain at his treatment by Campbell. Ha!Ha!Ha! This is man who had the reputation of being biggest liar in the House of Commons. One has to only check the infamous interview he gave with Paxman & Ann Widdecombe.
Alistair Campbell is sorely missed. He kept the media in tow, the same media who would stop at nothing to try and get people to vote against Labour previously. Because of this, all the whiney Tory runts hate him, and that's a measure of how good he was at his job
Alistair Campbell is sorely missed. He kept the media in tow, the same media who would stop at nothing to try and get people to vote against Labour previously. Because of this, all the whiney Tory runts hate him, and that's a measure of how good he was at his job
this is all for the camera ,they are all rats ,old school tie ...and then there is the scum ,which would be us ,the normal ones ,..people need to wake up , to these privileged dirt bags
Alistair Campbell is a disgrace. he is the main reason that turnout at elections has gone from never being lower than 70% to the dire state of low 60's now. His spin and lies has damaged politics in this country and i hope that one day he realises this. Cunt.
@Eoinposse They're all politicians, they're all lying bastards. We talk of bringing in a new crop of players after England's failure at the World Cup, but no such suggestion it is revealed our politicians have been stealing money from us. We just vote in the other guys and hope for the best. People were up in arms for a while, but sure enough they all forgot about it eventually and things went back to normal. It's a big joke, and the only ones laughing are the politicians
@Eoinposse They're all politicians, they're all lying bastards. We talk of bringing in a new crop of players after England's failure at the World Cup, but no such suggestion it is put forth when our politicians are found to have been stealing money from us. We just vote in the other guys and hope for the best. People were up in arms for a while, but sure enough they all forgot about it eventually and things went back to normal. It's a big joke, and the only ones laughing are the politicians
I wish we had a decent, centre-right all Britain and Ireland political party that rewarded hard work and cut down on state hand outs. A party of decent people, who provided work for those who can work, and support for those who can't. I'm Irish - but these islands are very linked, and I'd hope for a future were these islands can re-join as a political unit of equals, the Irish and British.
@matrix4022 And I wish we had a left government, which has a large encompassing welfare state with socially liberal values. With Scottish and Welsh Independence (if that is what they want).
Yet neither of us can have what we want, no one can; thanks to good ol' democracy.
Also in defence of Campbell he may be a liar but so are the journalists at the Daily Mail and the Express and the Sun and the Telegraph, it's redressing the balance.
Bet Campbell will sweat if the government lives up to it's idea of re-opening the Dr David Kelly case.
It just so happens after the whitewash enquiry by Hutton on behalf of Bliar he decided that all of Kellys medical files should be sealed and un-opened for a period of 70 years..........i wonder why.
Of course we see now that he never really left; he was there at the beginning and he was there in the bunker at the end as they tried desperately to do a deal with Vince Cable.
The Tory government, that Michael Howard was a part of, was thrown out of office by the voters in 1997.A corrupt bunch of cronies. How pathetic to suggest Labour had "lowered the tone of political life" after their election.
@3chel3 Pathetic, try telling that to the family of Dr David Kelly, Lord Hutton orderering the closure of his medical files for 70 years after his mysterious death following the WMD debacle, something certainly stinks about that.
Dont forget that Howard was branded a racist by Labour in 2005 election for wanting to discuss immigration.
@jonterranova25 yes of course you did, i cannot comment on that but i'd like to think that Mr Howard is a bit more wise than that.
As for your reply, it does not detract from the fact that Labour branded the Tories as racist for wanting to make immigration an issue in 2005 and since then just look at the immigration figures under Labour and see how they have used immigration and allowed people to citizenship in order to prop up their vote.
Campbell is still a scumbag today. Tried to sabotage Cameron's chance of making no 10 with his proposed rainbow coalition. But fortunately his lousy scheme failed this time!
What a hypocrite?!! Howard, parasitic bloodsucker and all purpose pantomime villian. The man that Cameron had kept hidden along with all the other Tory undead nightmares...including Redwood & Tebbit...for fear of frightening the electorate, has the temerity to complain at his treatment by Campbell. Ha!Ha!Ha! This is man who had the reputation of being biggest liar in the House of Commons. One has to only check the infamous interview he gave with Paxman & Ann Widdecombe.
LOL wow what a stunning dismissal there. "Hey, I was only Blair's right hand man for 6 of the 10 years! That's practically none! I was only there for the 6, formative years. I was like totally gone during the 4, dwindling, hanging onto power years. So that totally blows away your case! I had nothing to do with Blair! 6 out of 10? might as well be zero!"
@GlengarryGlennBeck Paxman doesn't really have a 'moral' agenda in running the debate, which is a shame, because Michael Howard is right about Alistair Campbell, and my respect fro Howard has gone up after seeing him confront Campbell openly about what he knows from experience. Howard did well to remember to say that it was with Blair's connivance..because that also provided the viewers with first-hand food for thought.
@GlengarryGlennBeckLaughable. Howard, hypocrite,parasitic bloodsucker & all purpose pantomime villian.The man that Cameron kept hidden..Along with all the other Tory nightmares, including Redwood & Tebbit for.. for fear of frightening the electorate, has the nerve to complain.This is a man who had the reputation as being the biggest liar in Parliament. As for your comment regarding Paxman. It's obvious that your political education doesn't extend beyond a few redneck, Poujadist, hack cliches.
@daubreyjaneweirdsley If the electorate are really scared by a mild mannered man like Michael Howard, it shows what a good job all the Marxist teachers and the BBC brainwashing machine have done of dumbing down our populace and turning them into fucking fairies.
If I was wrong in my analysis about Campbell's incredibly weak comeback, and Paxman showing how feeble minded he is by agreeing with it, you could have calmly and logically explained how I was wrong. But there is no logical retort to anything I've said, so you just had to resort to calling me a "redneck" instead. Thanks.
@GlengarryGlennBeck.. You really are a political illiterate. I think you're confusing Groucho with Karl Marx. Or maybe you're just confused? You really should study a little political history, so you acquire at least a basic knowledge of political language. Rather than demonstrating your ignorance and stupidity to the public. As for dumbing down, what could be dumber than reducing complex political issues to trite cliches. Your grasp of politics would embarrass a 5 year old. Cretin or what?!!
@GlengarryGlennBeck .Your failure to understand the nature of political discourse isn't unsurprising, 'comeback' to what? You haven't made a point, other than some rather silly sloganizing. Are you a parody or caricature of some dim wit extremist? Do you think there is a Zionist, Marxist, Freemason conspiracy? Are you a Tim McVeigh disciple? Don't worry i won't respond again, you're becoming a bore & you amply demonstrate the failure of the education system. Must be all those Marxist teachers?!!
@daubreyjaneweirdsley "Your failure to understand the nature of political discourse isn't unsurprising, 'comeback' to what?"
I'm not interested in your brand of politics you fucktarded, salivating 3 year old Jon Stewart arse-licker. I'm interested in logic, and you obviously have none.
@daubreyjaneweirdsley This is incredibly tedious you tedious fucktarded fucktard. Go back to my earlier post, I asked you to explain how my analysis of Campbell's excuse and Paxman agreeing with it is wrong. You can't obviously, so you just call me a "redneck" instead. So either get on with explaining, or fuck off. Obviously you can't so you're just gonna ssay "duh you dont undastind!!!!!"
@khany1388 Um... the only reason I "replied to myself" was because I was just adding a remark that I forgot to put in my previous post, I wanted to keep it in the same "thread".
Shouting about little technical details like "oh look you replied to yourself" in an attempt to make a person seem "loopy", is on the same intellectual level as saying that someone's beliefs or ideas are wrong because they made a spelling mistake - that level is "Pitiful inbred 5 year old".
I find it slightly ironic that you have the nerve to call me pitiful, after writing the most pedantic piece of shit I have ever come across.
What was most pathetic about your tiresome rant was the second comment, where you effectively beg for me to reply to you. Are you feeling a bit lonely?
Finally, I really don't have neither the time nor inclination to debate about Alastair Campbell with someone who has chosen the username you have.
@khany1388 Fuckwit's guide to making an idiot of yourself.
Complain "U REPLIED TO YASILF HAHA YA TALK TO YASILF"
Then when the person points out how incredibly weak and substance free that is, call them "pedantic".
If this doesnt achieve required results, take the time to criticise everything from the persons username, tone, perceived personality faults, etc... basically everything except the actual issue at hand, and then say "but I dont have time to talk to you!!!"
@khany1388 By the way I'm not expecting any more replies from you obviously, if the best thing you have is "you replied to yourself".... unless you want to prove that you're even more pathetic.
@GlengarryGlennBeck well, it wasn't a stunning dismissal granted, but that's not to say that Howard's point had any justification beyond personal animosity
@frolicks shut the fuck up you clown. anyone who claims to have been a good force of influence for the country and when challenged the best thing they can come up with is "ner ner, we won the election and you didnt".... thats pathetic. thats basically the only thing anyone in the fucking Labour party can say they did for britain. "huh, well at least we kept the tories out... yeh.. "
Campbell is a cancerous polyp on the anus of humanity and you (and many other cunts) actually admire him dear god
@frolicks well, if you could answer the question "what do labour have to be proud of" you would have answered.
obviously there is no answer that isnt embarrassingly slight, or as evasive as Michael Howard's famous non-answer, so you have to resort to calling me "nuts" instead... yawn. can't you guys come up with something new?
@GlengarryGlennBeck I have no knowledge of you other than your replies to my posts. I'm not quite sure who you take yourself to be. And you never asked me the question "what have labour to be proud of?", nor have I claimed that they have anything to be proud of (but maybe the Human Rights Act?) so how could I have answered an unasked question?
My initial point was in no way provocative but you responded with "shut the fuck up you clown." Good luck taking down the government
@frolicks Obviously it provoked me to call you a clown because it demonstrated you're a clown. It wasn't "provocative" in your mind obviously, because most idiots don't realise they're idiots. So yeah, in summary it was in fact provocative. Sorry. I hope that's cleared up that misunderstanding.
@frolicks Also here's a small tip: When you join in a discussion without reading what's been said before, you should really expect to be "confused" by the replies. Dumb fuck.
@GlengarryGlennBeck A discussion? Oh, I thought I was posting a comment on YouTube!! You are obviously the superstar of the YouTube 'discussion' board, I deeply regret having expressed a point of view contrary to yours, no matter how much more imbibed with reason it was. I will now depart and leave you to the world where you are king (in your own mind) and calling people cunts counts as intellectual debate. So long, it's been emotional....
@frolicks I see you've been reading "Hopeless dullard's guide to getting out of arguments".
it's probably in the very first chapter isn't it? "when you don't have any reason or substance to reply with, just accuse your opponent of having delusions of grandeur and run!"
bye then, fuckwit. i'm sure you've got to run to a taping of question time so you can ask for your hero alastair campbell's autograph and maybe, you hope, get into his pants.
@GlengarryGlennBeck Why are you so angry? Why do you say I do not have any substance when it is you that has done nothing but insult me? Don't you see how ridiculous you are? Or does it make you feel better to put other people down? Does it give you that extra boost and help you mask the inadequacies of your everyday existence? Is your reply to my post just going to provide further evidence of all I have mentioned? Do I already know the answer to all of these questions?...Yes.
MrGrumpybugger- I no longer wish to engage in any form of dialogue with you.
Those who talk down about the unemployed are those who DESERVE to be unemployed. I know what my background is. I know I am honest, I know I am productive. Thats all I care about.
I dont talk down to anyone, but seems that you arent capable of reasoned and rational argument! So I must have been correct about you being a student of a doss subject!
@WORLD8NSH5KNIGHT1 Of course then I look at your age and think, what has this person done for its country? So tell us, what have you done to be proud of? Anything? Probably not. like this bloke Campbell....When we have chaps younger than you putting their lives on the line every day because of our corrupt government, do you not feel ashamed that you have such pathetic views? YOu need to go away and hang your head in shame old boy!
MrGrumpybugger- I don't care what your background is but you support the Tories militant approach to claimants which is what I am focusing on. If I sound angry, its because I bloody am. If I wasn't fuming with your ignorance, I would be able to engage in a debate. That is my fault.
I find your view that employment status is a barometer to virtue to be utterly loathesome. Jeremy Kyle and Kelvin McKenzie both have paid jobs, but I think most rational people would see they are anything but decent.
Kelvin is a good chap, I havent a clue who the other is, but if he is a decent bloke and gives the workshy a bit of hell, then he is on my team! Long term claimants are just lazy, and should be forced into either a work related college course or a job. If they dont, they lose the benefits! That is only fair to people like me who pay at the hogher rate!
do you prefer to pick on the most vulnerable in society?
As for your ignorance about the unemployed, did you know Lord Nelson was out of work for 5 years? Was HE 'lazy' etc?
Frankly I despise your kind. Usually I go for dialogue with those I disagree with but there is no getting through to someone as ignorant as you. So to hell with it. I hope you lose your job. I hope you are forced to sign on. I hope you hear people judging you every fucking day when those people don't have a clue.
The lazy, poncing workshy are not vulnerable old boy, they are as sly as any fox. I most certainly am not ignorant, I grew up in a very poor council estate, but in those days people had dignity! It is far too easy now, go to any job centre on signing on day, and see how many "claimants" have cars!
I really don't know how to counter you bullshit. You are ignorant. You are ignorant because you tar an entire group with the same brush. Your mindset is;
claimant= dishonest criminal. Look at any newspaper and you will see examples of crime being commited by people in paid jobs.
If freaks like you were in power you would probably make unemployment a criminal offence. If you hate your job, then its not my problem.
Sign on?? Never old chap! You see I am quite well off, I have worked very hard and now have my own business. I take it you are one of those who is a "claimant" or has once been, at least you are well balanced with a chip on both shoulders!
I think you will find if you sit and study the subject, but Lord Nelson had his own funds and there was no welfare state in the 18th and early 19th century!
Interesting direct dialogue, not seen every day. Im no Tory, but I get the impression that with Michael Howard, what you see is what you get. At least he isn't an image man in the way 'Dave' is. Ive tried giving Mr Cameron a chance but even Blair had more conviction. Cameron is soft on crime one day, tough the next, wants fairness in society but has made it clear he will bend to the gutter press by a militant approach to welfare; ie punishing people for the 'crime' of being unemployed.
Quite hypocritical.. In 1983 the Tories ad campaign Saatchi and Saatchi were going to run an advert saying "The Tories do a lot for pensioners" and were going to show a photo of Michael Foot on it, but Thatcher ruled it out as too personal. I would also say Thatcher's staff made under the belt attacks on the Labour party, and conspired with the tabloids to carry to do so, such as the Sun's "Do you want this old fool to run Britain", so in a sense, Campbell carried it on....
And what labour comic did you read all that tosh in? The Conservatives needed spend no money on a campaign to show labour for being oathetic, they did that all by themselves. Now we have the legacy of the wormtongue, and the country is now waking up from its evil spell!
If I had my way, this general election would be the last that Prime Ministers call of their own choosing... It would make the UK system like the USA, in that one is held mandatorily every four years, regardless of who is in power, and whether the sitting PM wants one or not, so the next GE will be in May 2014...
In many regards I believe we are more progressive than the US but I agree with you on this. The 2-party trend in this country is just nauseating. 18 years of the Tories, 13 years of Labour etc. The expected Hung Parliament may actually have a positive outcome. They aren't perfect, but im voting for the Liberal Democrats.
@WORLD8NSH5KNIGHT1 Seems that you are too young to remember the Thatcher years and how glorious it was, the Bliar years have no resemblance whatsoever, just look at how FUBAR the place is, almost 8 million not working and poncing from the state! Apparently less than 30% on invalidity are real, the rest are parasites!
The packaging might have changed... but the content hasn't, and it is still the same old Tory party as in the Thatcher-Major years.... However, I still believe that you are going to come to power this May...
And you speak just like a socialist of being in power...no, no and no. In Office, Blair believed he was in power and history is already showing how evil he is/was
I think it is the start of a Tory campaign bashing those on Incapacity Benefit, the unemployed, single parents, immigrants and blaming the government for what happened at Edlington, rather than them discussing how they would solve the problems we are currently in.. such as the recession, mass unemployment, Afghanistan, education, how they would deal with the NHS, public services...
I think it is extremely correct to look at those who are economically non prodictive, eg, I would guess that 70% of those on incapacity ebenfit are lazy workshy parasites, as are the unemployed..Single parents, shows a complete disregard for morality and immigrants, most are "economic" in other words should not be here and not welcome here. My eldest son is a newly qualified doctor and he cannot get a job, immigrant doctors have priority in New Labours Britain, he is wotking as a labourer.
Ahhh... that old Tory trick... bash the unemployed and those on Incapacity Benefits... and blame the poor for having too little money. You tell me who is going to employ someone who has been on IB for 20 years (Both parties made it easy for someone to get on to fiddle the unemployment figures even though you will blame New Labour through your blue-tinted glasses)... when people who have been in work for 35, 40 years can't find jobs at the moment....
If work is difficult, why then are the local fast food outlets importing Tamils at a vast rate to work in theur franchises? If work is so hard to find, how come there are 100s of east Europeans on street corners at 0530 evry morning waiting for transport to work. It is not a Tory trick, but life does not owe anyone. I was born council and pulled myself up, if I can anyone can! IB?? A big con, I would also stop motability dead!
@WORLD8NSH5KNIGHT1 Bullying? Pragmatism is now bullying because I say it as it is and you dont like it! Mmm, classic argument of the student doing a doss degree!
Typical bloody Tory. Your ignorance about welfare claimants is an insult to those claimants who do volunteer work, have never commited a crime in their lives and are struggling on well below the minimum wage. There is plenty of evidence of 'hard working decent people' commiting serious crime. Your problem is you judge people solely on employment status. I form my views of people on their individual character. Why don't you criticise Fred Goodwin? Or like a typical Tory are con;
Volunteer work at our expense?? When we pay the bills old chap, we call the shots! Dont put your hand out to take and expect it to be gratis!! I judge people for what they are, if they are long term parasites, then that is all there is to be said!
You are talking through your ass. For the record, im not on welfare now At your expense! I chose to do volunteer work not because I had to but because I chose to. I certainly wasn't doing it for self-congradulatory scum like you.
I never supported the invasion of Iraq in 2002 or 2003, and I don't dispute this war occurred due to dodgy dossiers or a false premise. Saddam had nothing to do with 9/11 and had no weapons of mass destruction. However, most of the Conservative parliamentary party voted for the war, including David Cameron. Kenneth Clarke was among a handful of Tories to vote against, and it just shows that the Tories should do their research and be accurate before they make bold statements about Labour.

This deeply self-serving version of events fails to say anything the media’s own role. Political reporters are wholly complicit in assisting PR operatives like Campbell to have their way with them. Where is it written that reporters must take their stories from press officers?”

LastBlueMist 1 year ago
The collapse in America spread throughout the world obviously, but some countries were hit harder than others. Brown completely emasculated the British economy by taxing it, and spending far more money than he had to spend. The budget deficit peaked at 12%. Economists distinguish between the cyclical and structural deficit. The structural deficit is 75% of the current deficit, which means growth won't automatically remove it. That is the result of Gordon 'I saved the world' Brown.
VonMises1990 1 year ago
@VonMises1990 Our deficit is higher than G20 countries, but for a reason that Osborn has forgotton to mention. Our banking sector relative to the size of our economy is twice the size of other countries’ finance sectors, and bailing it out has cost more. The problem is nothing to do with spending but the banking collapse which has left a 112 billion shortfall in projected income. Im not saying there isnt a deficit. Im saying it should be the for the banks to bear the brunt of paying it back.
LastBlueMist 1 year ago
Indeed... but why bail it out at all? Why should bankers be the beneficiary of state socialism? I despise socialism in all forms, especially for stupid people who took gambles they shouldn't have done. With the banks roaring back to growth, their tax contributions have been restored, but the structural deficit is still there. I would tax the nationalised banks just for being stupid, but tax in general is a bad idea. Spending cuts are much more delicious
VonMises1990 1 year ago
@VonMises1990 agreed bailouts are contrary to free market ideals but the financial sector generates a huge portion of UK GDP. We are dependant on it far too much. We have by far the largest banking Industry in Europe and if the government let any major bank collapse, consumer confidense would be ruined and it would destroy our economy. The mistake was encouraging lending and risk taking... not bailing them out.
LastBlueMist 1 year ago
@VonMises1990 maybe you think the cuts are delicious. You obviously are not about to lose your job like the million or so who are affected by the cuts. Policemen, nhs staff, firemen, and I thought they were cutting the 'waste'. I heard street lighting was next on the cuts as well. For a party who dont like benefits... they sure like putting more people on them. :-/
LastBlueMist 1 year ago
The public sector loses 500,000 per year through natural turnover. What is happening now is nothing out of the ordinary. And lets privatise loads of these 'front-line' services and let people and the market decide whether we want these jobs or not.
VonMises1990 1 year ago
it means 1 in 5 tories have banking interests...head of banks, advisors, private hedge funds etc yes I did mention on my earlier comment some labour politicians have as well and they are no better... including Blair when he was in power... it borders on corruption to have ANY external interests while in power.
Meanwhile while jobs are being axed left right and center... and we are told there is no other way.... the banks are conviniently back making £billions profit

@LastBlueMist
3chel3 1 year ago
@3chel3

@3chel3 Pathetic, try telling that to the family of Dr David Kelly, Lord Hutton orderering the closure of his medical files for 70 years after his mysterious death following the WMD debacle, something certainly stinks about that.

GlengarryGlennBeck 1 year ago

Go to hell.
WORLD8NSH5KNIGHT1 1 year ago
@WORLD8NSH5KNIGHT1
I dont talk down to anyone, but seems that you arent capable of reasoned and rational argument! So I must have been correct about you being a student of a doss subject!
MrGrumpybugger 1 year ago
@WORLD8NSH5KNIGHT1 Of course then I look at your age and think, what has this person done for its country? So tell us, what have you done to be proud of? Anything? Probably not. like this bloke Campbell....When we have chaps younger than you putting their lives on the line every day because of our corrupt government, do you not feel ashamed that you have such pathetic views? YOu need to go away and hang your head in shame old boy!
MrGrumpybugger 1 year ago
MrGrumpybugger- I don't care what your background is but you support the Tories militant approach to claimants which is what I am focusing on. If I sound angry, its because I bloody am. If I wasn't fuming with your ignorance, I would be able to engage in a debate. That is my fault.
I find your view that employment status is a barometer to virtue to be utterly loathesome. Jeremy Kyle and Kelvin McKenzie both have paid jobs, but I think most rational people would see they are anything but decent.
WORLD8NSH5KNIGHT1 1 year ago
@WORLD8NSH5KNIGHT1
MrGrumpybugger 1 year ago
do you prefer to pick on the most vulnerable in society?
As for your ignorance about the unemployed, did you know Lord Nelson was out of work for 5 years? Was HE 'lazy' etc?
Frankly I despise your kind. Usually I go for dialogue with those I disagree with but there is no getting through to someone as ignorant as you. So to hell with it. I hope you lose your job. I hope you are forced to sign on. I hope you hear people judging you every fucking day when those people don't have a clue.
WORLD8NSH5KNIGHT1 1 year ago
@WORLD8NSH5KNIGHT1
MrGrumpybugger 1 year ago
@MrGrumpybugger
I really don't know how to counter you bullshit. You are ignorant. You are ignorant because you tar an entire group with the same brush. Your mindset is;
claimant= dishonest criminal. Look at any newspaper and you will see examples of crime being commited by people in paid jobs.
If freaks like you were in power you would probably make unemployment a criminal offence. If you hate your job, then its not my problem.
WORLD8NSH5KNIGHT1 1 year ago
@WORLD8NSH5KNIGHT1
Sign on?? Never old chap! You see I am quite well off, I have worked very hard and now have my own business. I take it you are one of those who is a "claimant" or has once been, at least you are well balanced with a chip on both shoulders!
MrGrumpybugger 1 year ago
@WORLD8NSH5KNIGHT1
I think you will find if you sit and study the subject, but Lord Nelson had his own funds and there was no welfare state in the 18th and early 19th century!
MrGrumpybugger 1 year ago
Interesting direct dialogue, not seen every day. Im no Tory, but I get the impression that with Michael Howard, what you see is what you get. At least he isn't an image man in the way 'Dave' is. Ive tried giving Mr Cameron a chance but even Blair had more conviction. Cameron is soft on crime one day, tough the next, wants fairness in society but has made it clear he will bend to the gutter press by a militant approach to welfare; ie punishing people for the 'crime' of being unemployed.
WORLD8NSH5KNIGHT1 1 year ago
I hate Michael Howard but I hat Alistair Cuntbell even more. This is the one time I've ever agreed with Howard.
glasgowNEDSareCUNTS 1 year ago
Quite hypocritical.. In 1983 the Tories ad campaign Saatchi and Saatchi were going to run an advert saying "The Tories do a lot for pensioners" and were going to show a photo of Michael Foot on it, but Thatcher ruled it out as too personal. I would also say Thatcher's staff made under the belt attacks on the Labour party, and conspired with the tabloids to carry to do so, such as the Sun's "Do you want this old fool to run Britain", so in a sense, Campbell carried it on....
Kevinasp 1 year ago
The late Michael Foot that is.
Kevinasp 1 year ago
And what labour comic did you read all that tosh in? The Conservatives needed spend no money on a campaign to show labour for being oathetic, they did that all by themselves. Now we have the legacy of the wormtongue, and the country is now waking up from its evil spell!

Heavenly.

If I had my way, this general election would be the last that Prime Ministers call of their own choosing... It would make the UK system like the USA, in that one is held mandatorily every four years, regardless of who is in power, and whether the sitting PM wants one or not, so the next GE will be in May 2014...
Kevinasp 1 year ago
@Kevinasp
WORLD8NSH5KNIGHT1 1 year ago
@WORLD8NSH5KNIGHT1 Seems that you are too young to remember the Thatcher years and how glorious it was, the Bliar years have no resemblance whatsoever, just look at how FUBAR the place is, almost 8 million not working and poncing from the state! Apparently less than 30% on invalidity are real, the rest are parasites!
MrGrumpybugger 1 year ago
The packaging might have changed... but the content hasn't, and it is still the same old Tory party as in the Thatcher-Major years.... However, I still believe that you are going to come to power this May...
Kevinasp 1 year ago
And you speak just like a socialist of being in power...no, no and no. In Office, Blair believed he was in power and history is already showing how evil he is/was
MrGrumpybugger 1 year ago
I think it is the start of a Tory campaign bashing those on Incapacity Benefit, the unemployed, single parents, immigrants and blaming the government for what happened at Edlington, rather than them discussing how they would solve the problems we are currently in.. such as the recession, mass unemployment, Afghanistan, education, how they would deal with the NHS, public services...
Kevinasp 1 year ago
I think it is extremely correct to look at those who are economically non prodictive, eg, I would guess that 70% of those on incapacity ebenfit are lazy workshy parasites, as are the unemployed..Single parents, shows a complete disregard for morality and immigrants, most are "economic" in other words should not be here and not welcome here. My eldest son is a newly qualified doctor and he cannot get a job, immigrant doctors have priority in New Labours Britain, he is wotking as a labourer.
MrGrumpybugger 1 year ago
Apologies for my appalling qwerty skills
MrGrumpybugger 1 year ago
Ahhh... that old Tory trick... bash the unemployed and those on Incapacity Benefits... and blame the poor for having too little money.

@MrGrumpybugger
Typical bloody Tory. Your ignorance about welfare claimants is an insult to those claimants who do volunteer work, have never commited a crime in their lives and are struggling on well below the minimum wage. There is plenty of evidence of 'hard working decent people' commiting serious crime. Your problem is you judge people solely on employment status. I form my views of people on their individual character. Why don't you criticise Fred Goodwin? Or like a typical Tory are con;
WORLD8NSH5KNIGHT1 1 year ago
@WORLD8NSH5KNIGHT1
Volunteer work at our expense?? When we pay the bills old chap, we call the shots! Dont put your hand out to take and expect it to be gratis!! I judge people for what they are, if they are long term parasites, then that is all there is to be said!
MrGrumpybugger 1 year ago
@MrGrumpybugger
