Hey just wondering is it possible to keep bream in pure freshwater? Right now I've got them living with goldfish in brackish water. So if I make it 100% fresh will they die?
Cool, they are a piece of piss to look after if you get the right gear in the 1st place.
Dont let anyone tell you Salt Water Tanks are hard to look after, if you dont want any Fancy Pants Gay looking Corals & Sissy little Nemo lookalkes, these tanks need bugger all maintenance. Just change some water every now & then & your sweet.
Surprisingly its not that hard to look after, I live near the water & fish out of a 5.3m boat most weekends so I take 6 x 15L drums with me to fill once I`m offshore.
It`s not as hard as everyone thinks if you have the right setup to start with.
@creedyflyr o any way i used o have 2 BIG black brim and 2 lil ones then the power whent out for 2 days so the pump stoped working and 3 of them died the one that was left didnt eat and died of starvation :(
how to get bream to eat coase mine wont eat and i live in wa perth so i have black bream and and i dont no wat to feed it [its fresh water] i think i should feed it live prawns or live yabbys or sumthing ya ?

Can you do a update vid? Im keen to see whats in the tank now, and to see how much the fish have grown

@walker2508
Yep, I'll update the vid soon, My computer has died & a new one is on the way so I'll put up a new vid when I get it all sorted.
You wont notice much difference in the fishes size as Bream are a very slow growing Fish.

@creedyflyr awsome i went fishing 2 day and caught 3 breams and 2 octopuses(small)
i was thinking of keeping them as pets
PS. would i need separate tank for them or is it alright if i put them in 1?
thyp888 1 month ago
@thyp888
Putting them in the same tank wont be a problem but good luck keeping the Occy's in the Tank, as they are expert escape artists.

A good protein skimmer is the key.

Yep, You cant go wrong with live food. Mine now eat Frozen Prawns from the Bait shop & I pump Pink Nippers & crabs once a week for a change.
All Fish were eating from day one. They even eat lures & let me hand feed them!
Good luck.
