what i hear on the radio these days makes me very angry, eye candy who call themselves serious vocalist, all looks with no substance. Give me old skool any day, Chaka, Patti, Tawatha, Gladys, anybody but all this simpering, wimpering I'm being bombarded with today!!!
Are you fuckin' kiddin' me? This video should have at least a few hundred thousand hits on it. It's crazy how gems like this are right here, out in the open for anyone to pick up and appreciate but people just walk right past 'em and keep listenin' to bullshit, force-fed to 'em through the commercial cRap on radio, today. Damn, these kids must really not know about the golden-era of Hip Hop. This is the essence of it, in it's purest form. Legends still rockin' the mic nice.
this song make me cry from inside. As each day my art getting destroyed but the industry will never have my soul. We all Repezent The Real and we stand for it.
The sad thing is Dres is so right, the world is so numb and so dumb that good albums like this don't hit on the radar, because they don't make the cover of their favorite magazine or get pushed on the radio.
Why can't people do their own homework, why don't they look out for bands they adored only a couple years ago. We're not fans anymore, we're spoon fed consumers and we're being fed what the industry wants us to eat.
The dichotomy of our people have been sold (soul and body) and Corporate America dictates what we should listen to, for the sole purpose of "Gettin' Money". The integrity of our music back in the day was all we had. Nowadays, add Corporate America's incentive of rewarding ignorance, flood the airwaves with it, thus giving it to a youth that is totally oblivious to the history of black music...there you have it. That's why we are in crisis mode when it comes to the state of hip hop.
Brotha', you takin' the words right out of my mouth! I argue this point constantly but it hits deaf ears! I'm an old school B Boy from way back! I feel you, son!

verse 3: (2/2)
even though it was hard in the nation to strike
beeing black was a daily celebration of life
understand that what was done, was all (taught to skill ???)
to maneuver in the world and not (court and kill ???)
to be smart was an art that we put on a shelf
I'm confused, look at what we do to ourself
was it really long ago that (???? - neglet ???)
how money and drugs are substitutes for respect ?

verse 3: (1/2)
I used to love my brother and knew my brother loved me as much
and despite my ( ????) flaws he would love me as such
we would play for the (fun ??), every day on the sun
we would fight with our fists untill the neighboors would come
telling us about ourselves, were all beeing bad
but the truth was, we know we were all that we had
unity was you and me, and united we trust
brothers going work it out, (getting wise and ????)

verse 2: (2/2)
you are my summer breeze, took my heart to new (hight ??)
caught up in your (under - ??) like it (????????????)
(singing ??) you are my true love, all I need to know
then put a dagger in my heart, (you ??) said you need to grow
how was I supposed to act, you were (seeing this trough ???)
even though I rather have the pain than give it to you
I did, holding on was what I didn't resist
we don't even talk, like each other didn't exist

verse 2: (1/2)
I've had a love until the ( ???) since the day I was grown
but never one that left me hurt feeling so alone
fell in love the day we met, I was never so sure
you were like a open book and I had to know more
introduce me to the memories I never forget
'cause our love would burn away like a lit cigarrete
never saw a sign, ( ???????????? )
I just planed to hold your hand (?????? - time ??)

Chorus:
What happened to us ?
We was once so close, what we shared was beautifull (and then I ain't got most ???)
What happened to us ?
We had the world in our palm, then one day I turned around only to see you were gone
What happened to us ?
Could it be we don't care and we are really (contempt ??) with the dreams we don't share ?
What happened to us ?
Is it a brigde too far? What happened to us? I wonder...

verse 1: (2/2)
we're so much more, even (wrong??) we shared (agravation??)
(that??) was unconditional, we give (estipulation??)
seeing the point, isn't worth the observation
and working it out isn't even worth the conversation
so now we are paralel where we used to (???-cross??)
sometime I try to find the (bump??) that now is lost
so now (whatever??) I gain, I got nothing to show
that's all I got to say, 'cause all I really wanna know, is:

verse 1: (1/1)
It's hard for me to put to words exactly what this song is about
I guess I never thought i see the day that I live without
such (intrict ??) part of what my life used to be
after all you (bought??) the pain that was my (license??) to be
never imagine that together we'd be losing our (breath??)
even so, you gave me everything I took on my trip
some good, some bad, you can never pretend
I was never glad, the truth, we were never friends

The correct title of this track is "Wonder".
"Hey" is a totally different track on this album.
