Well after this little bitch whined about it I checked on Google and apparently if the power cable comes loose it can give the hardware failure error, but the problem there is that the power cable and HDMI were the first things I checked when it did this, and both were as tight as can be. Again, I had a lot of plans for this thing, I had no reason to fake it.
Well for the sake of argument about a half hour ago I intentionally tried to do what you're suggesting by loosening the power cable on my current unit. I got one red flashing light. Not three.
That is exactly my point. You get 1 red light not three. The RROD is three red lights not one. And you can clearly see in his video he has 3 and not 1.

Well after this little bitch whined about it I checked on Google and apparently if the power cable comes loose it can give the hardware failure error, but the problem there is that the power cable and HDMI were the first things I checked when it did this, and both were as tight as can be. Again, I had a lot of plans for this thing, I had no reason to fake it.
