I can't wait to hear Iced Earth's next record though. Stu is a good choice to start a new chapter in the band's career. I think it'd be interesting to hear Stu's death style and such thrown in on the next Iced album too.
i love the ripper, very rare you get such a great talnt like that. as well as halford. but mat ca never be replaced. this guy will do a good job though!!
Stu is going to be a really good replacement for Barlow. Owens fucking sucked and still does suck, but Stu has the vocal range and capabilities, and I'm interested to see how Iced Earth songs would sound with Stu's kind of growls.
@CriticsConfession I would be awesome to hear him growl here and there in Iced Earth. You'll probably hear it a little bit LIVE, but I wouldn't count on hearing it on any recorded song. Jon Schafer is not much of a fan for growling singers.
There are two ways you can understand "Blur the edges of my memory. Pain through the breathing. Drown myself to help forget. Silence all my thinking", which I believe people have been debating here.
One way is that the person is committing suicide by drowning himself, which is fair enough. Doesn't have to emo to be suicidal. But you can just as well read it as the person trying to forget by drinking himself senseless, and killing himself with booze. Shines a different light on the lyrics imo.
stu's high falsetos are amazing in this song. fuck everybody who dislikes this, you obviously don't know shit about music and all the talent and effort put into it.
Ye this is far from emo i like lots of music genres but core and emo r just something i fail to respect but yes this bands quickly becoming a fqvourite of mine.
There you guys go, that's the genre. The complex compositional structure and the soaring vox are progressive metal. The tempo, riff styles, and low end vox are melodic death metal. This band is a FANTASTIC mix of the two types of metal, and this song in particular is one of the most bad-ass songs ever!!
wow, 3 dislikes? i suppose its time to shave the three of their heads and so it in water. pour salt upon them, and then lock them in a freezer. for all those who don't know what salt and ice does to your skin, look it up.
@FALLENMAGGOTSHIT into Eternity is a progressive metal band from Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada... According to alot of sites, but.. idk what i'd classify them in

Eh you are stupid eh?... You're a fucking retard bro, its the same type of music, just Randy blythe doesn't have Harmonic Vocals or clean or w/e u wanna call it. and Lamb of god, is a tad bit heavier... annd idc what you say, i love all three bands.
