I still have family and friends in Brooklyn and in and around the NYC area. I get back to the city as often as I can now. I miss the cultural diversity, the music, and the people.

Man, I wish Brooklyn was still a place for Brooklynites..... I left Brooklyn after 38 yrs about 3 years ago. Born and raised in Sunset Park, lived there and Bay Ridge my whole life but for a short stint in Manhattan...But a million dollar shit hole for a house no longer made sense to me. Neither did the over crowding, sardine can subway, etc. Yet I still go back to Brooklyn every couple of mnths to visit fam/fiends and just walk the streets. It's missed. Oh, thank you so much for the memories!! I'm 74 and now retired to Florida. This video made me so homesick I cried. I have no one left living in Brooklyn so I have no way to go back to visit. So sad. I'm saving this video for a visit I can make. Again, thank you.

Three people have never lived in or even been to Brooklyn. I am currently moving back from Long Island. Can't wait to get there. Everyone has been telling me "no one moves back to Brooklyn." This guy does! I am so juiced . . . Coney Island, Randazzo's, Spumoni Gardens, Brighton & Manhattan beaches, the Brooklyn Museum, Prospect Park, the revitalized downtown area, Juniors, Park Slope, Bay Ridge, The Barclay Center & my new favorite basketball team the Brooklyn Nets! Yes, you can go home again!!

Thanks for the great song and vidio.. People cant imangine how wonderfull our lives were back then. My dad would take a whole bunch of us every weekend to coney island. Nathens and hot kinishes. Im still friends with all my old classmates. The video shows it all. Thats exactly how it was!!!

Thank you for a great song and video. I moved out of Brooklyn about 30 years ago. I do visit as my parents still live there. When i visit we sit on the stoop and watch the world go by. I wouldn't change that for the world. You are so right when you say Brooklyn gets in your blood and I wouldn't change that either. Thanks again.

@dancirm BROOKLYN more then a city its a state of mind. i to am out of BROOKLYN the better part of 30 years.the old haunts and hangouts are gone the old neiborhood has changed alot, but i still have to go atleast once every 6 months ho said you cant go home? you can take the people out of brooklyn, you cant take the brooklyn out of the people.

I've lived all my life in Brooklyn (other than 2 months in Philly) and I could not imagine living in any other part of NYC. I live in Brighton Beach and grew up there. Not saying how many years ago :) Annika, great video and song. For all its faults Brooklyn is an alive and wonderful place.
I have a niece who lives in Australia and she was amazed when she realized I did not live on the North American mainland LOLOL!!
