@GpB217 4 was the best. the game play in 5 was when it reached its peak true , but the story mode was weak and far shorter then 4's , and the voice acting was terrible . the voices in 4 had real strength and passion to them , the actors were really putting alot of emotion into it , but 5 it just seemed like they were reading it like reading a newspaper , with no feeling at all. cutscences and music in 4 was better too. and it was the most authentic for weapons and character design.
@stallionfury I guess you're right. The only reason I really liked 5 better was because it wasn't auto-lock attacking. If you could freely attack then it'd be the best. 4 also was the best one feature based. I loved the VS modes. 4p vsing would be so much fun. Zhao Yun was also at his peak of badassness in that one also. Had my favorite outfit - the DW3 outfits.
@GpB217 it is missing the uniqueness with the wepons i think, i prefered it when xiao dun weilded a massive 2handed scimitar and not this little 1 handed sword you see him with in dw7, although its my opinion

I think they should make a new game called Dynasty warriors: Lu Bu against the world, where he makes a campaign into the whole world, and since its the whole world, thats why its a game itself, you'd have way too many battles, and in the last mission battle, he faces something godly I guess, well that'll never happen though........ This is perhaps the perfect Lu Bu video. Lu Bu truly stands alone when it comes to strength as no one can match him at all. @monkeyboy20202, its a legendary part of Chinese history. If you take away all the politix, atttrocities that comes with war, what you are left with are bad ass legends. The famed generals in this game are real people.
the only way he gave way was when teamed up on by guan yu, liu bei AND zhang fei. considering that guan yu was the "god of war" and probably the strongest fighter out there (lu bu excluded), that's quite impressive.
Lu Bu also had Gao Shun, who is underrated in the games. He had several decent fighters, but the only decent generals were Zhang Liao and Gao Shun. He also had Chen Gong who was a big asset to Lu Bu's army, and was one of the few guys Lu Bu actually trusted (along with Gao Shun and Zhang Liao)
imagin if Lu Bu had won at Xia Pi in dw5 it would have meant cao caos permenant death which means shu would have won so much quicker or maybe even wu would have won
Shu was the weakest of the 3 Kingdoms, so I doubt it. Yuan Shao's family would have taken to power if Lu Bu won there. Yuan Shao's army was the most powerful until the Guan Du incident. After which, Cao Cao truly started to become the most powerful force in China.
they killed lu bu on dw6 because he is sooo easy if u know how to beat him. i use zhao yun, lvl 50 with a power 88 weapon and my horse shocks when it hits him which does like a quarter damage and then i hit him like 5 times and he's dead! dw5 lu bu was a really fun challenge!
In DW6 you get a horse of any color with "his eyes consider the world and he has a heavenly physique." then that becomes a horse king like red hare if it was red(EXTREMELY RARE), Hex Mark(EXTREMELY RARE), and Shadow Runner(EXTREMELY RARE), then theirs Ebon King, Dapple King, and Auburn King.
You must NEVER attack lu bu at hu loa gate or si shui alone u need ur allies and i find the best person for me is easily ma chao or Gyan u but i cn beat him wiv almost any character on hard mode even on musou but hes always a challenge and u MUST make sure u hav a rage ready to use cus wen hes on rage at hu loa one hit will kill u im not jokin
omg i know right!! in DW4 lu bu is chuck norris in hu lao gate and all the other stages hes in same with dw3 :P in dw5 hes just gets even worse with musou rage, in dw6 hes still tough but not as hard as before if you have a lvl 30+ character with infinite renbu and special ready
what about guan yu? I can only kill lu bu at hu lao gate with guan yu....I can't even kill him WITH lu bu! i mean, hu lao gate/si shui gate DW5 lu bu is scarily tough! it took me 2 minutes with zhao yun to get him down to half health, then he hit me twice and killed me!!!!
I guess it depends on your play style. Guan Yu is a bit too slow for me. But Zhao Yun has been my best character from the first time I played DW 2,so I'm pretty good with him. Lu Bu is still as tough as Titanium to take down!
its not that--I go for middle/fast guys, with only a couple of exceptions (anybody kicks ass with lu bu). Its just the fact that guan yu did more damage.....
Lol, historically speaking Lu Bu wasn't really even that strong. He was just known for being a Benedict Arnold and managing to survive after betraying people left and right.

No, Red Hare was given to Lu Bu by Jia Xu as a gift to convince him to join Dong Zhuo's militia. Lu Bu took it and joined Dong Zhuo. Later when Lu Bu was executed at Xia Pi, Guan Yu was captured and later helped Cao Cao defeat Yuan Shao at Guan Du. As a token of his gratitude, Cao Cao gave the captured Red Hare to Guan Yu as a thank you gift and let him free. So Lu Bu wasnt the original owner of Red Hare.

Though he was a great warrior, i think Lu Bu had some serious mental issues. Besides the point, i think my favorite character from the 3 kingdoms is Xiahou Dun. He not only can fight(he has been know to stand toe-to-toe with Lu Bu) be he also treats the people under his rule very well.
yer lu bu and xiahou dun have fought many times but there battles have never been finished like in there last battle Dun had to pull out cos his brother ,xiahou yuan, nearly died in battle

Have you seen Lu Bu in Dynasty Warriors 6? He's been overhauled very carefully. He's actually in black armor now and wields a four-bladed glaive instead of the Sky Scorcher. Not only that, but his musou is totally different. He actually fights Dong Zhuo and Zhang Jiao at the same time, then he fights them and the other officers simultaneously in Hu Lao Gate. It's a real trip, but it is also fun when you get over the bizarro aspect.
And you should see Yuan Shao react when he shows up at Guan Du.
Lu Bu is better than Tadakatsu, no argument there. Only ones trying to push the issue are the fanboys who're too stuck on his nutsack to think logically lol.
I personally like Zhou Tai, Hanzo, Kotaro and Kojiro all better than Lu Bu but he'd still whoop their asses.

in ancient China, warriors did not wear the "antennas" you see here on Lu Bu, that was something taken out of Peking Opera; It would be too clumsy and dangerous to carry such ornaments upon ones head into battle.

Lu Bu also had Gao Shun, who is underrated in the games. He had several decent fighters, but the only decent generals were Zhang Liao and Gao Shun. He also had Chen Gong who was a big asset to Lu Bu's army, and was one of the few guys Lu Bu actually trusted (along with Gao Shun and Zhang Liao)

Shu was the weakest of the 3 Kingdoms, so I doubt it. Yuan Shao's family would have taken to power if Lu Bu won there. Yuan Shao's army was the most powerful until the Guan Du incident. After which, Cao Cao truly started to become the most powerful force in China.

they killed lu bu on dw6 because he is sooo easy if u know how to beat him. i use zhao yun, lvl 50 with a power 88 weapon and my horse shocks when it hits him which does like a quarter damage and then i hit him like 5 times and he's dead! dw5 lu bu was a really fun challenge!

In DW6 you get a horse of any color with "his eyes consider the world and he has a heavenly physique." then that becomes a horse king like red hare if it was red(EXTREMELY RARE), Hex Mark(EXTREMELY RARE), and Shadow Runner(EXTREMELY RARE), then theirs Ebon King, Dapple King, and Auburn King.

You must NEVER attack lu bu at hu loa gate or si shui alone u need ur allies and i find the best person for me is easily ma chao or Gyan u but i cn beat him wiv almost any character on hard mode even on musou but hes always a challenge and u MUST make sure u hav a rage ready to use cus wen hes on rage at hu loa one hit will kill u im not jokin

I guess it depends on your play style. Guan Yu is a bit too slow for me. But Zhao Yun has been my best character from the first time I played DW 2,so I'm pretty good with him. Lu Bu is still as tough as Titanium to take down!

Lol, historically speaking Lu Bu wasn't really even that strong. He was just known for being a Benedict Arnold and managing to survive after betraying people left and right.

No, Red Hare was given to Lu Bu by Jia Xu as a gift to convince him to join Dong Zhuo's militia. Lu Bu took it and joined Dong Zhuo. Later when Lu Bu was executed at Xia Pi, Guan Yu was captured and later helped Cao Cao defeat Yuan Shao at Guan Du. As a token of his gratitude, Cao Cao gave the captured Red Hare to Guan Yu as a thank you gift and let him free. So Lu Bu wasnt the original owner of Red Hare.

Though he was a great warrior, i think Lu Bu had some serious mental issues. Besides the point, i think my favorite character from the 3 kingdoms is Xiahou Dun. He not only can fight(he has been know to stand toe-to-toe with Lu Bu) be he also treats the people under his rule very well.

Have you seen Lu Bu in Dynasty Warriors 6? He's been overhauled very carefully. He's actually in black armor now and wields a four-bladed glaive instead of the Sky Scorcher. Not only that, but his musou is totally different. He actually fights Dong Zhuo and Zhang Jiao at the same time, then he fights them and the other officers simultaneously in Hu Lao Gate. It's a real trip, but it is also fun when you get over the bizarro aspect.
And you should see Yuan Shao react when he shows up at Guan Du.
