I thought it was either an arthritis flare or just a flare up of joint and muscle pain, that I kind of got about once a month. My DOH moment in all this is that it might have been the boniva causing these flares. Now I have to see over the next couple months if I really just flare up once a month, or NOT.
What scared me about this flare was that it caused so much pain around my new back equipment - i thought, what the heck did I do?
That packaging is disgusting. They use way too many resources, it's not good for the environment. The doctors are prescribing way too many medications. Recently they found alarming traces of prescription medication in drinking supplies. People as a whole are taking so much medicine, that it's making it's way from our waste back into the water supply! They found things like anti-psychotics in the water. My aunt reports feeling terrible when taking her bone medications. I think she might stop.
My grandfather, that lived to be 100, used to say that all the doctors want to do these days is give drugs and try to keep the people "doped up" while they take what every money they may have. I think he was on to something there. :-)
Sue I think it's just amazing the amount of pills that doctors and pharmaceuticals push on healthy people today. Maybe it helps but with all the side effects, I just can't help but wonder if it's not doing more overall harm than good. I don't take any prescriptions but almost everyone I know is on a cholesterol drug for instance. Anyway, interesting rant today! -Jim
I too take cholesterol lowering medication, which of course, means that I have to have blood tests annually to check its effectiveness. I do have family history for heart problems, and i have scored high for years, and it lowers it. But wow, it's still amazing.
my Boyfriend had a side job doing a survey for a very well know chain of drug stores.
One of the questions was what medication are you on? It was multiple choice and did not give non as one of the answers. Ponder that. Oh and birth control wasn't on the list either.
It is really hard in some circles to find folks not on meds! It's getting a little scary, and the fact is, I do take other meds, that I know do help me, but even that's too much.
lol, the overwhelming majority of women your age have osteopena. These bone drugs do absolutely nothing at all. All they do is cement in your bones.

Yep - that's a LOT of packaging.
I get pissed when the cotton ball at the top of the aspirin bottle takes up too much space - I can see me totally losing my mind over THIS package.

But I did it for you, so now, you don't have to lose your mind! lol!!
You'll smile at the next cottonball...

THANK YOU, BJ, it IS disgusting! The cardboard, plastic, foil - for one pill - is pretty intensive anti-environment packaging.
I heard that news story too - that just cuts it. That means there is no one who is NOT medicated - unless they NEVER use water!

I would recommend switching, or just stop taking pills for this supposed condition.

I am stopping it - It is the think least likely to kill me from my family history and risk factors, and the pain isn't worth it!

The side effects are worse than the disease they
are trying to prevent!
I will take broken hip as cause of death over
complications from alzheimers(sp)!
(shudder)

Note the link in the comments to the video I found AFTER I made this vid - from the freakin FDA!
Holy moly. I am definitely stopping this one.
I may have other meds out the wazoo, but this one is going away.
