Thanks for sharing! I was a little nervous watching your duck and run tecnique....haha. You should consider uploading this to the handy-homeowner(dot)com site. My cleint Owens Corning is running a contest and this video would be the perfect fit!
Of course, you're looking at the problem from only one prespective - outside looking up. Instead of trying to pull deck down from that position (risky), go to open door on second floor with crowbar (preferably a larger one), place crowbar between house & deck, and use crowbar to push deck away from house. Before doing so, place 2x4's under deck at a angle to push deck well away from house as it falls.
Of course, the more cautious approach described wouldn't have produced such an interesting, suspenseful, video. I watched in anticipation of the deck falling on his head or some similar calamity. Ultimately glad the latter didn't happen, but I'm just sick enough to laugh if it had. By the way, surprised you didn't ask how I learned the more cautious approach. Lets just say I've had (or seen) more than a few construction mishaps over the years.

All you had to do was take a longer 2x4 and hit the bottom one knocking it down easier and safer !
