He's the real Boss in the series. Need more of him and his crew in S.3 and less Nucky. Buscemi's Nucky is boring compared to this character and actor. Also Lucky needs to step up as more of a BA and a Harrow-Slater tag team murderous duo would be awesome.
I just love his character. I mean come on, no matter what grouses he has with Nucky after their re-alliance, we can always see Arnold is the type of person who has high respects for his friends. He has credibility and honor (excluding the World Series rigging) of course.
What an excellent character, played by an excellent actor. I've seen depictions of AR in other places--"Eight Men Out" being one--and he was completely misrepresented. Having read a bio on AR, this actor seems to be as close to the depiction of the bio I read.
"What kind of way is that to answer a telephone?" I'd read that Rothstien taught Luciano manners and ettiquette. That cueball scene is badass; for an educated man, he was a COMPLETE MONSTER. Guys were well-dressed killing machines back in those days. Thanks for posting.

Luciano: "I'm with his wife right now" *shit-eating grin*
AR: "No...you're with his mother." *smiles and puts phone down*

Rothstein died because he welshed(Sorry about that you Britishers)on a card game,claiming the game was fixed.What irony!.

in reality rothstein was dapper, clever, and ruthless. i have a book on him, and its mindblowing, he was a criminal genius.
leedumett444 11 months ago
@leedumett444
in real life people like Enoch Lewis "Nucky" Johnson the character played by steave as nucky thompson was not in the leage of rothstein or lansky
lansky much more than rothstein was a criminal mind and genius i hope thay keep his character in the
2nd season and give him much more time
daromleinad1987 9 months ago
Rothstein makes this series worth watching.
