Diesels and gassers BOTH have their advantages and disadvantages. Face it guys. It's all about preference, and what you do. I have a gas and wish I bought a diesel. But at the same time, I know some of my friends who hate diesel's them selves. But with these new 2011s not spittin out so much fuel and using the acid for this government mandated pollution law. The're going to have incredible gas mileage. Ive heard 18-20 not hauling. While my 5.7 hemi, gets 15 in my 2007 1500, and 11 in my 09 2500.

I guess thats why a few Duramax diesel owners making big power swap out their big, complicated, boat anchor Allison transmissions with simple and tiny bulletproof billet 47RE transmissions. Dodge trannies aren't the best from the factory but they have more potential than all the rest. Look up "DuraFlite transmission" or "Buck Spruill" He uses a 47re and has the fastest 1/4 mile stock chassis duramax truck in the world.
just cut off your muffler and leave the cat in place. ive never done it in this truck because the cat was already gutted but it sounds so bad with no muffler or cat. my friend with a f150 with a 302 with one of the cats chopped off and no muffler sounds sick. not loud as mine with a fake flowmaster muffler dumped under the cab but it sounds insane. check out 01dodgeram360's vids. that 01 ram sounds awesome. ive tried out the cherrybomb extreme and that sounds like shit, never buy that
well my 360 is straight piped but not road legal its my mud truck....my 06 cummins is straight piped too....all my trucks and cars have no cats or mufflers...some have proformance mufflers...but other then that no cats or mufflers...i drive a 06 cummins crew cab with a 5 spd stick pushin some good hp but i'm all about muddin or truck pullin

what are you talking about by extended cab not crew cab? dodge only had two cab configurations till they came out with the mega cab in the next body style after the 03's. the quad cab and regular cab..hmm...pulling a truck backwards means nothing also, it's all about weight, hitch height, tires and wheelbase and torque. and an 03 can't pull a 35 ft. camper huh? well i can tell you from actually farming and seeing farmer tow near 30k daily...and 03 will pull w/e you want. and do it easier.
sorry but you're wrong again. they DID put the 5.9 360 gasser in the 2500. Do a lil research not too hard to find the error in your ways. so your uncle modified the frame and everything to fit the 03 body huh? and the had it straightened back again? woulda been cheaper and more cost effective to just buy the whole 03 truck and have the common rail, much better system.

to tell you the truth i have no clue what kind of rims are on that truck. they were on that truck when i bought it. i believe they are cheapo white wagon wheels 16x8 with like 3.78 inch backspace. i got sick of that gay white color so i painted them gunmetal.
white wagon wheels and black wheeling wheels can be found at most tire shops, just ask them about them. so many companies make them like american racing, cragar, us wheel, procomp. just search them online on the companies sites. try us wheel or something.
i now put a flowmaster 40 dumped right under the cab with a gutted cat. that thing sounds so sick at idle sounding kinda like a old school car when i start it up in the morning. at wot the truck screams like a muscle car and when i downshift it pops tons still but doesnt sound as bad as the glasspack then the truck makes a sick very LOUD drone sound that i just love. best of all my exhaust is much louder. ill try to get a vid of me downshifting with the glasspack hopefully soon.
to tell you the truth i absolutely hate cherry bomb glasspacks. at first i loved it hearing that beefy sound. it sounds horrible when i downshift to 3rd it first sounds like popcorn popping then the engine rumbles down and sounds decent. and the exhaust isnt that loud

@1988dodgeram1 toyotas are bad ass buddy you people have to much domestic pride. In the last few years the use of toyotas has upped alot because they are reliable. I had a 94 corolla with 250k on it and I used to rally it through a field and put her through a foot of mud and it held up fine.

@1988dodgeram1 People seice to realise gm/dodge are government owned aswell as the newspapers. Toyota being their competition if there was a problem with them they would over react it in the papers. To prevent people from buying the competition therefore gaining the government more money. Another point my brother is a mechanic at Toyota and there wasn't any reports of the brake/accelerator problems in Canada until months after they started in the states.

haha, ok.... Incase you didn't know the 2500(3/4 ton) is meant to be diesel also. The 1 ton is just for extra towing and dualies. So not real sure why it has to be 3500....

I guess thats why a few Duramax diesel owners making big power swap out their big, complicated, boat anchor Allison transmissions with simple and tiny bulletproof billet 47RE transmissions. Dodge trannies aren't the best from the factory but they have more potential than all the rest. Look up "DuraFlite transmission" or "Buck Spruill" He uses a 47re and has the fastest 1/4 mile stock chassis duramax truck in the world.

just cut off your muffler and leave the cat in place. ive never done it in this truck because the cat was already gutted but it sounds so bad with no muffler or cat. my friend with a f150 with a 302 with one of the cats chopped off and no muffler sounds sick. not loud as mine with a fake flowmaster muffler dumped under the cab but it sounds insane. check out 01dodgeram360's vids. that 01 ram sounds awesome. ive tried out the cherrybomb extreme and that sounds like shit, never buy that

well my 360 is straight piped but not road legal its my mud truck....my 06 cummins is straight piped too....all my trucks and cars have no cats or mufflers...some have proformance mufflers...but other then that no cats or mufflers...i drive a 06 cummins crew cab with a 5 spd stick pushin some good hp but i'm all about muddin or truck pullin

if you have a ram above 96 i wouldnt gut or chop the cat otherwise your going to get an check engine light. mine doesn't get the check engine light cuz the mech put some kind bypass wire on therear o2 sensor. i personally like the sound of a cat with straight pipes going out the back.

ok phone a dealership and ask them if there is such thing as a 2500 with a 5.9 v8. ask any older dodge ram owner that knows a bit about these trucks and they tell you. people like you piss me off. today in my heavy duty mechanic class i had a little fight with a kid because he said he saw a ram for sale with a v10 diesel. i said there is no such thing then hes like my cousins truck has a v10 diesel in his. the kid is just like you trying to act like a know it all.

what are you talking about by extended cab not crew cab? dodge only had two cab configurations till they came out with the mega cab in the next body style after the 03's. the quad cab and regular cab..hmm...pulling a truck backwards means nothing also, it's all about weight, hitch height, tires and wheelbase and torque. and an 03 can't pull a 35 ft. camper huh? well i can tell you from actually farming and seeing farmer tow near 30k daily...and 03 will pull w/e you want. and do it easier.

sorry but you're wrong again. they DID put the 5.9 360 gasser in the 2500. Do a lil research not too hard to find the error in your ways. so your uncle modified the frame and everything to fit the 03 body huh? and the had it straightened back again? woulda been cheaper and more cost effective to just buy the whole 03 truck and have the common rail, much better system.

why would you waste your time putting an 03 body on a 96? Unless you meant he has an 03 and you have a 96. Which in that case, there isn't much in common between them. same axles basically, but that's about it. And what does having the same axles, clutches, and tires have to do with knowing anything? I could look in a magazine at a picture and make a truck look exactly like another in every way. I choose not to since i go to school for diesel, and work for a dodge dealer....

ok dont act like a know it all about 2500s. 2500's can have a 5.2 and 5.9 gasser and also the diesel. like 75 percent of 2500s are diesel rest are gas. ok my truck is listed as a 2500. it has one ton front dana 60 only HD2500's and 3500's have them not a 1500. dont say shit that you dont know.

to tell you the truth i have no clue what kind of rims are on that truck. they were on that truck when i bought it. i believe they are cheapo white wagon wheels 16x8 with like 3.78 inch backspace. i got sick of that gay white color so i painted them gunmetal.

white wagon wheels and black wheeling wheels can be found at most tire shops, just ask them about them. so many companies make them like american racing, cragar, us wheel, procomp. just search them online on the companies sites. try us wheel or something.

i now put a flowmaster 40 dumped right under the cab with a gutted cat. that thing sounds so sick at idle sounding kinda like a old school car when i start it up in the morning. at wot the truck screams like a muscle car and when i downshift it pops tons still but doesnt sound as bad as the glasspack then the truck makes a sick very LOUD drone sound that i just love. best of all my exhaust is much louder. ill try to get a vid of me downshifting with the glasspack hopefully soon.

to tell you the truth i absolutely hate cherry bomb glasspacks. at first i loved it hearing that beefy sound. it sounds horrible when i downshift to 3rd it first sounds like popcorn popping then the engine rumbles down and sounds decent. and the exhaust isnt that loud
